(damelux flower shop au) Poe's eyebrows shot up as he read the rude note elegantly hand-lettered on the heavy cardstock he assumed had cost a pretty penny-- but the arrangement, nothing more than an 'I Love You' declared in a dead language, had him curious.
He took his lunch break at the usual time, not wanting to appear desperate…then broke a few speed limits, making it from Republic Grocery downtown to First Order Florist in under ten minutes.
“Sending me some mixed signals here, aren’t you?” Poe asked, leaning as casually as possible against the counter in the back and raising his eyebrows a bit. He didn’t bother fighting his grin.
“Well, you are my rival,” replied Hux, offering him a pursed-lips smile in response that in concert with his wickedly sharp cheekbones made him look positively devilish.
“I think you just couldn’t stand being away from me any longer,” Poe dared, and Hux’s sly expression didn’t slip at all but his face was, all of a sudden, quite pink.
