There are no words, like zero, nada, none! However, even when there are no words, I can still be redundant! :) I am so excited to go home to the #409 to perform in "Anchored-in-Poetree." When I say, that island made me who I am, please BELIEVE it. When I say #KyBorn, #TexasRaised, #ThirdCoastMade it means soooo much to my lil heart! To be with folks that I love, who love me, who knew me in all my struggles, who battled with me, who did great things along me and who participated in the not-so-smart stuff too....Who were my homegirls and homeboys, that is priceless!  "The Anchor and the Poetry both exist..... because of GTown so when I cross that bridge..... in July... it is for a reason that no words can describe." I'm hoping to sign some books for folks who meant and mean so much to me but I have not seen in years, who made an impact in my world then and still matter today! This is what Galveston does, I refer to it as "chains - that have a hold on you" but in reality it is just how  Galveston's #loyalty is set up. I can not wait to see these faces, take selfies with and be in the presence of past. I can not wait to touch the mic in Texas, to be my same ole poetry speaking self that I was back when I used to write pieces for others, applicable to their situations.  I miss these folks, period. I can not wait to hear other poets or singers who choose to signup and participate in the open mic portion of this event.
