This week’s “Man About Town” segment, for @News3LV, took an Italian turn. First, I regaled the ever-delightful @KrystalNews3LV with the deets about the special one-day-only encore screenings of @MetOpera’s brilliant and lively production of Giuseppe Verdi’s LA TRAVIATA, filmed live last November—featuring soprano @Nadine.Sierra as Violetta (a courtesan), tenor @SCostello929 as Alfredo (Violetta’s upper-class lover), and baritone @LucaBaritono as Germont (Alfredo’s disapproving father), with Maestro Daniele Callegari at the podium—that will be presented by @FathomEvents on Wednesday, February 15, in movie theaters, nationwide (as part of The Met’s “Live in HD” series); and the connection the famous opera has with some much-beloved contemporary films (think: MOULIN ROUGE and PRETTY WOMAN). Following this, we segued into the “Freddie’s Favorite Four” Menu that @PierosLasVegas is offering, from February 12-18, in honor of proprietor, Freddie Glusman’s 86th birthday. It was another beautiful morning, in the studio at @News3LV, yesterday, and my first time opposite the charming @Kyle.WilcoxTV. For this week’s “Man About Town” segment, we broke down the 11th anniversary, coming up on Valentine’s Day, of @TheMobMuseum (officially, the National Museum of Organized Crime & Law Enforcement®) and its cool, subterranean speakeasy-cum-distillery, @MobMuseum_Underground. After this, we segued into @TenToOneRum, the company founded by @MarcFarrell12 and co-owned by @Ciara, the contemporary, sophisticated, and elevated blends of which—specifically the Ten To One Dark Rum and Ten To One White Rum—have been created to challenge the ways in which people taste, experience, and talk about rum. A bright and sunny Wednesday morning, down at the @News3LV studio, where I got to do this week’s “Man About Town” segment with the fantastic @Chloe_Koast (Hey, ChloKo!). We kicked things off with the deliciousness surrounding @ResortsWorldLV’s second annual Dim Sum Brunch at Genting Palace, where Chef Lok and his team will be pulling out all the stops, this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, which is awesome, because the great thing about dim sum is that you can have sum, and dim sum more!
