At first, I wasn't sure whether or not it was even worth writing for. But the more I saw what was happening during the whole thing I got even more angry.

It's a relatively knew trophy, there is no rule against claiming twice and there is also no reason why someone should not receive it twice either. But there is literally no way, no fucking way, Pau was ranked 7th. Below Huijsen who even though is good wasn't playing at a big league. Below Doue who ghosted for an entire season and the only reason Europe knows his name is because he decided to actually play during the final of the UCL. And Pau, God, Pau. A kid from La Masia, a young adult, who has broken everything about his position. A guy that was critisized for being too young in a position were experience is the most important thing. Playing for one of the biggest ever clubs in the world of football and its history at 16 years 11 months and 27 days. And he immediately became a starter because of how good he is. Something that not even players like Pique and Ramos haven't done. Hell, Maldini became a starter for AC Milan at 17 and that's where the closest age is. Baresi played as an already adult, Cannavaro too. Ramos at 19, Van Dijk who is currently the best cb made consistent appearances as a starter as a 26-year-old. Puyol was 21, Koeman was 26. The list goes on and on and on. It's freaking endless. And you are telling me that Pau, who rearranged the mindset of the community of football about the age of center-backs and basically said in a much kinder way 'fuck you, I'll show you how it's done' as a mere teen is in the shade of a 20-year-old 'kid' who scored on a UCL final that his team carried him to reach? I don't know what football these reporters watch but it's definetely not the one where Barca's success rates were pararel lines to the appearances of Pau.
