salome wasnât a temptress, she wasnât wicked.
she was a girl of around 12 who was forced by her mother to undress in front of her stepfather-uncle to seduce him. then, she was given the severed head of a man who had done her no wrong.
this isnât an evil woman who kills an innocent man, and it isnât the story of an empowered woman slaying a controlling man. just a painted girl with a strangerâs head. the platter was heavy in her hands
