Whew. Aren’t the lines blurred sometimes? The last few years have been about discerning what I really desire in my relationships. Not only my intimate partner, but friends, clients, even with family members. It started with me looking deep into my heart and list my non negotiables versus my “it would be nice to haves” AND,also, listing what I added to relationships. I had to get really honest with what I meant when I said I desired unconditional love and support. What did that really mean to me? Everyone has a different meaning to what this means and everyone’s definition is correct for them. This is where the rubber meets the road. Discernment. I am celebrating an anniversary today! 🎉⁣ ⁣ I first visited this space in Pass A Grille Island, Florida 2 years ago in the form of an Airbnb. ⁣ ⁣ I remember that weekend well. During my stay here, I surrendered my heart to the old way of being. ⁣ ⁣ I manifested purchasing this very special place 7 months later. I knew I had to have it and it happened so effortlessly. Being in flow with your true self and trusting the Divine will do that! 😉⁣ ⁣ As I walked this morning, I snapped a picture of the sky. One year ago (plus one day) this man proposed to me after knowing me for 71 days. It’s been a crazy year with lots of changes with both highs and lows.many thought we wouldn’t make it, but most cheered us on! He has taught me unconditional love in a way I’ve never experienced from a partner. I healed to be able to experience and receive his warmth, noble character, and warrior ways. I can often tell how self-aware someone is by how they speak about their last relationship. If they only talk shit about their ex; if everything is their ex's fault, I know they haven't wised up enough to see that - in 99.9999% of cases - it takes 'two to tango.' If someone is hell bent on blaming, then they're likely to continue in dysfunctional relationships (no matter how long the honeymoon phase lasts). . Learning to take ownership is a valuable lesson. It may not be that you did any one "thing" wrong. It might be what you DIDN'T do (that you should've done). That could be anything from being more present and paying more attention to speaking their love language; getting TOO comfortable and neglecting what your partner needs or simply not learning to draw proper boundaries. Maybe it's losing yourself. . SPOILER ALERT: None of us are perfect. So own own your mistakes as well as your triumphs. . Never settle for the low-level fruit of blame.
