What a strange world it is where a mother bringing her own child with her to work is seen as such a bonus! A great thing! So nice of the bosses! But silence about how it is 100x harder to do that same job and yet are expected to discount their value. Women's work truly is undervalued. Working mothers must put their trust in severely underpaid daycare workers. Stay at home mothers must shoulder the entire household and be told how easy it must be and nice to not work (though parenting IS work as the existence of positions to do just that proves). Barbie had a point: no matter what you do as a woman, it is never enough and never valued as it ought to be and somehow you do it all wrong at the same time.
