Following the back-to-back releases "Fed Up" and "No Quitter" (feat. K CAMP) earlier this year, Compton artist Wallie the Sensei has just shared his highly-anticipated Cactus Jack Records debut mixtape, MAD DOGG: The Mixtape, Vol. 1 – Hosted by Justin Credible – out now, alongside an accompanying music video for the sentimental track "Product of My Environment". An acronym for “Managing Angry Demons, Deprived of God’s Grace”, MAD DOGG includes a feature from Roddy Ricch, and was assembled quickly (the first version in roughly 60 days), before being refined over the following year to find the right balance of sounds.

Tracks across MAD DOGG mirror Wallie the Sensei’s expansion from regional gem to worldwide superstar, ranging from club-ready anthems ("Beam" feat. Roddy Ricch) to reflective cuts (“City of Angels“), culminating in a project that, at its core, is impossible to put in a box. The accompanying video for "Product of My Environment" exposes the harsh realities of Wallie's upbringing in Compton, helping to visualize the themes behind the project. MAD DOGG reflects Wallie the Sensei's aim to serve core fans while simultaneously welcoming new listeners drawn through his recent signing to Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Records.

This release follows recent momentum backed by a GRAMMY certification for his feature on "dodger blue" (300M+ Streams) off of Kendrick Lamar's Rap Album of the Year GNX, a recent interview with The FADER, and being named to Rolling Stone's 'The Future of Music' list. With the release of his major-label debut MAD DOGG, WallietheSensei is effectively transitioning from an emerging regional presence to a nationally recognized artist positioned to bring the new West Coast sound to the masses.

Since relocating to Miami in 2022, Wallie the Sensei has focused intently on refining his craft and building the next phase of his career. His official signing to Travis Scott's Cactus Jack Records last year was amidst standout appearances on both Kendrick Lamar's now GRAMMY-winning album GNX with the song "dodger blue" (300M+ Streams) and the JACKBOYS 2 compilation album with his labelmates, where he appears on the tracks "CANT STOP" (27M+ Streams) alongside DonToliver and Future, as well as "110 SOUTH" with close collaborator LuxuryTax 50 on the Deluxe Version.

His most recent singles, "Dip" (feat. Ty Dolla $ign & Blxst), "Beam" (feat. Roddy Ricch), and "Fed Up" have honed in on his distinctly West Coast sound while collaborating with some of the biggest names in rap. Despite his growing national presence, Wallie the Sensei remains deeply connected to his hometown of Compton, continuing to give back through community initiatives like Wallie’s Weekend, where he provided mentorship and resources to local youth and recently hosted a Madd Dogg Back to School event in Compton.
