The Tragic Origin of Cosmo the Space Dog
Long ago, Cosmo used to be a test animal for the Soviet Space Program (Π‘Π‘Π‘Π ). When he was young, Cosmo played with other dogs (and one of them looks like the real-life Laika) in the lab kennels. Then, the dogs were taken to the training center where they went through series of grueling space tests. When the time came, Cosmo was chosen to be launched into Earth's orbit in a spacecraft. Before the launch, Cosmo faces the news media press and was given the spacesuit. On the countdown of the launch, Cosmo was given a rope toy as a goodbye gift from the other dog.
As the spacecraft launched into space, Cosmo was bombarded by cosmic rays which gave him psychic powers. Cosmo experiences his first time of using telepathy when he realizes that he would never see the other dogs again. Unlike the real-life Laika, Cosmo survived his trip to outer space. Thanks to the cosmic rays, Cosmo not only has psychic powers, he also has extended longevity which makes him outlive the other dogs from the past. Eventually, Cosmo's spacecraft drifted out of orbit until it landed on Knowhere.
