*when I see a complicated, super large crochet/knitting pattern*
Me: DON’T tell me I don’t have the balls to do it.
Me: I do have the balls.
Me: I might not have the strength or patience, but I definitely have the balls.
Me whenever patterns tell me to knit a gauge swatch:
Me???? Knitting instead of doing my APUSH homework????? noooo.......you must be thinking of somebody else.......
CO20: *yo,k2tog* turn. purl wrong side.*k2tog,yo* turn. purlwrong side. repeat for length desired. BO loosely.
Them: So, how many languages do you speak?
Me: 4
Them: 0_0 Fluently?
Me: Yep.
Them: Wow! What do you speak?
Me: English, Spanish, knitting, and crochet.
Them: What? But...those aren't real languages.
Me: *slides across the table a simple knitting pattern*
Them: What is this? I can't read this. It makes no sense!
Me: Actually it does. You see...it's a simple lace pattern. All you do i cast on 20 stitches and then work in a 4 row repeat. The first row you work a yarn over and then knit 2 stitches together. You do that all the way across and then purl evenly back on the wrong side of the work. Then on row 3 you knit 2 stitches together and then yarn over. Do that across and then purl back on the wrong side again. Repeat that 4 row repeat for the length desired and bind off loosely.

Me: Would you like to see a crochet one?

A Day In The Life Of A Knitter...
1. You Get The Whole "Isn't That For Old People?" Question....You're reaction might be:Â
2. "Can you knit that" You can't but what the hell nothing ventured nothing gained right?Â
3. Then there's that one kill joy "You aren't knitting that right and omg you dropped a stitch you're horrible at this, you should totally do it this way- blah blah blah blah blah"Â
4. Spotting Yarn that just makes you sigh...
5. Having to explain WHY you went over your Yarn Budget...That Malabrigo ain't cheap huh?Â
6. Having random people ask you to make stuff.....after they've teased you for knitting.Â
So I went to watch The Fault in Our Stars finally.
I didn't cry as much as I thought I would... Instead, I looked at every piece of knitted clothing in that damn movie and thought, "I'm gonna knit that..."
I'm totally knitting Hufflepuff stuff as soon as I'm done with my other projects
