Fear. Something he wasn't familiar with. It's been weeks since the machine that changed him had broken. Gir, like usual, sees no fault in his actions, as Zim literally claws at his skin. "Claws" being a relative term, since he had no claws left. Just bitten nails. Disgusting rounded squares down to the nub. Nerves that weren't present in his irken biology had him shaking. With rage? No, something far more sinister, something Zim couldn't recognize.
Fear. Absent for weeks was something he could handle. People all around were confused as to who he was as he walked. Having to come up with an excuse, he exclaimed that the surgery to fix his skin disease had worked! However, Dib was no where to be found that day.
Fear. As he walked up to the doorstep of the Membrane household. Thinking it would set off the alarms, he bit his lip with duller teeth than normal, and knocked. Flinching in preparation, soon Zim realized that it had not even registered that it was him. Gir by his side, flailing on the ground with a butterfly, was no threat to recognize either.
Lastly, fear. It washed over his features as he saw Dib at first, and he had to swallow his pride and put on a brave face, holding out his hand. He had closed his eyes tight, but peaked one open slightly to see if Dib was going to take his hand.
"SO, it has come to my attention, FILTHY EARTH HOOOOOMAN, that I would like to enlist your help for a very important.... mission. I could obviously do this by myself, but I have taken the liberty to let you be a part of the action in which ZIM perfects a.... type of transformation, or machine, whichever you shall think of it. In return I will.... let you take the said machine to your kind for scientific 'study', a type of proof that aliens do indeed exist.... AS LONG as you don't mess this up for THE MIGHTY IRKEN EMPIRE."
These were lies, he wasn't going to give over anything, let alone could he do this all by himself. However, he swallowed, as he now has to do more frequently with this.... horrid shape. His eyes bore such an abnormal yet beautiful color, skin slightly tanned like one with Hispanic heritage, and face smooth and rounded. Despite being human now, he was still quite short. But not incredibly so like once before. The whole interaction was awkward, as Zim realized Dib wasn't moving to shake his hand, or even saying anything for the longest moment. Perhaps this was a mistake?
