Hot Yam Pasta – Inspired by Erin Ireland (V)
Oh, Hot Yam these new plant-based soups are our jam.
Did you hear? Dairy-free and wheat-free soups are now available at Greenhouse Hot Bar shops. Developed in collaboration with kitskitchen, our two blends are hearty and healthy. The recipe for our Hot Yam soup was imagined by the wonderful Erin Ireland, who not only knows how to craft a fine soup, but has also invented an even finer soup hack: soup as pasta sauce! Turns out that our coconut milk and yam blend is excellent poured over some pasta noodles with spice. Â
One order of Hot Yam soup*
Your favourite pasta (We used brown rice pasta)
Toppings: chopped basil, broccoli sprouts, salt and pepper, nutritional yeast, pumpkin seeds, and whatever else your heart desires
In a pot of water, boil your favourite kind of pasta noodles.
While you pasta is cooking, warm your soup over low to medium heat. Voilà — sauce!
Remove your pasta from heat and strain. Top with Hot Yam sauce and basil, sprouts, spices, nutritional yeast, and pumpkin seeds, and mix.
