It could not have been a more perfect day, 72 degrees, Friday, 7pm. The sun hadn’t quite decided to set yet and Kel felt like it was waiting just like she was.
Blind dates weren’t normally her thing but Jason said this girl was worth it. She wasn’t sure what relationship the man had with this stranger but she got the sense it wasn’t romantic. She sighed and brushed her auburn hair out of her blue eyes. Tall with long light colored hair wasn’t much of a description to go by but it would certainly clash with Keladry’s more average features. The short girl wasn’t exactly one to turn heads but she was healthy in all respects, all five and a half feet, hundred and thirty pounds of her.
Kel stared down at her hands and then out at the pier. She wondered if Kisara would like the restaurant she had picked or the aquarium or… her… damn it Jason, she wasn’t sure about this date thing! Maybe she should’ve just told him she had other… plans… it would’ve been a lie but would’ve saved her some embarrassment.
No, she could do this! She could put herself out there! She could try anyways. She could…
She spotted her date at the other side of the pier and gasped.
