I am not saying that I know everything in the subject, I’m not saying anyone on the post doesn’t know a lot about the subject, but the post reads as fear mongering at its best and deliberate misinformation at worst. People are getting so angry and hyped up about something that, in reality, is a non-issue at this time. If people read into this “war dog” they would see that it is very much in development and developers are still really figuring out all of the uses for it, most of them having NOTHING to do with hurting individuals.

This is not to say that just because something that hurts people has other uses doesn’t mean it’s bad, it just means that people are seeing an object, thinking of one or two potentially terrible uses, and going on a fucking blood hunt.

Also the point in the post stating that the pinch points are weapons is hilarious. Anything that folds has pinch points. Folding chairs have pinch points, cars have pinc points. That is not a damning piece of evidence as it is presented.

In fact, that pinch point portion is a great way to show how misinformation can be spread. Simply how the op presents it, it seems like it could be true. It fits with the narrative of the post, it has a supporting picture, and it is said with confidence. The op could be saying it with the utter belief that they right and what they are stating is true, but the fact of the matter is that it is not! Pinch points are not put in robots to act as malicious weapons, they are just common in most feats of engineering! By presenting them as weapons or as an intentional danger, the op is spreading a false, fear mongering message, even if it is unintentional.
