“the writing of 2020 is soooo bad. it’s just cheap plot twists and nothing ever gets solved.”
babe the killer wasps WERE the cake. pay attention.
Stung (2015)
Creature features are like candy to me, they often taste like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, a fine combination of processed familiar shit that I’ve been eating since childhood and absolute enjoyment. So it wasn’t a surprise to me when I found myself enjoying Stung (2015). What was a surprise is how damn good of a movie it was, despite my creature feature biases. As a lifelong horror fan, I’m allowed to be hyperbolic when it comes to my favorite genre, but I’m also able to calm myself down and examine its flaws when necessary. However, for this review I’m just going to gush, because Stung is near absolute comedy/horror perfection. Should you stream it? FUCK YES!
The worst morning
1. You wake up 2 hours before your alarm because you hear an incessant buzzing 2. You don’t have glasses on but see a small thing buzzing and flying around your head 3. You scream, freak out, and fall out of bed and in the rush to escape, forget to put on glasses and run your face into the door. 4. Spend 30 minutes freaking out because there is a giant wasp in your room. 5. You spy it and it is the size of your thumb 6. You have a panic attack for about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to see when your glasses are stuck in the room with the wasp 7. Take a risk and grab your glasses, phone and charger in one fell swoop 8. Spend 1 and ½ hours trying to find the blasted beast and kill it with bug spray 9. Run out of bug spray 10. Think about maybe setting your room on fire 11. In reality, just poor bleach and water in a spray bottle and viciously attack 12. It doesn’t die and you know you have a 9 hour shift at work 13. Keep spraying until the last moment you can ( still doesn’t die) 14. Go to work and complain and freak out to your coworkers 15. Sleep in your parents room
