Do you retype a keysmash if it doesn't take the form you want it to?
Yes, every time
Yes, sometimes
Yes, I did this once
No, never
I dont use keysmashes
Reblogs appreciated! I'm using this for a school project.
My keysmashes are... Unconventional.
Heieiiishrnk. Shsvushsuuuhhueg. Hhggehehhehhhsggd. Ishjsishisj.
Sjehen. Jwueb. Shenen. Pkaks. Laooe. Wuehee.
in terms of safe names, how would a keysmash work?
It might be a bit clunky in practice, but it’s perfectly allowed.

[ID: cropped screenshot from discord. it reads “ioprfiopf. that is SUCH an ugly keysmash lemme try again. dgkhfdkjgjdf. there we go” end ID]
there is such thing as a right or wrong keysmash. i’m sorry i don’t make the rules.
A few types of Keysmashing
*note: other than “asdfghjkl;”, the actual letters may vary, even if only slightly.
**note two: to repeatedly refer to a keysmash, I will call it by the same thing it is called in the heading, although keep in mind it does not have to be this exact lettering.
asdfghjkl;
This is the typical home row keysmash. Use this one when you are a bit surprised, as it has the elements of a keysmash, but being the same letters in the same order, it still has some structure.
(sometimes, it can be used with spaces in between to make an emphases like “a s d f g h j k l ; “)
Dafdkfaji
“Dafdkfafl” is also a home row keysmash. But unlike “asdfghjkl;” “Dafdkfafl” does not have these three keys: “G”, “H”, and “;”. It is also a bit more chaotic. “Dafdkfafl” can also take shorter forms like “dlkafd”. This keysmash, similar to “asdfghjkl;” shows moderate surprise.
Aflkefaidjlfdklviemaej
“Aflkefaidjlfdklviemaej” is more random, like the usual keysmash. It can use any amount of letters, and is usually a bit longer. “Aflkefaidjlfdklviemaej” can be used when you see something crazy that is unbelievable.
Klafjdkfjaiefkamkl djgviam lkfjeokwljfakjdklf ajesdkljfkoewjfkandsjilf jkeldjafnkj ewklsadj fkljeakaewmfljdsiofk
“Klafjdkfjaiefkamkl djgviam lkfjeokwljfakjdklf ajesdkljfkoewjfkandsjilf jkeldjafnkj ewklsadj fkljeakaewmfljdsiofk” is a longer keysmash. When you are very happy, or overwhelmed, you may use this keysmash to show your emotions. (notice the spaces in-between, unlike any of the other’s we’ve seen so far.)
Jaflkdio fkeljaewklfir3 o8yq e4iuhtfawyriuh3aebwurIOBrubranbufoedsjefkuebwi ofjildsbuf okEWN JIBR9ORJBUIFOJFAEWIU FIe jwifojewiowhjfl
Our final keysmash is “Jaflkdio fkeljaewklfir3 o8yq e4iuhtfawyriuh3aebwurIOBrubranbufoedsjefkuebwi ofjildsbuf okEWN JIBR9ORJBUIFOJFAEWIU FIe jwifojewiowhjfl.”
This is a crazy reaction keysmash, something you might type in response to overbearing cuteness or extreme angst. Notice the numbers, something that is usually high up on a keyboard. When using “Jaflkdio fkeljaewklfir3 o8yq e4iuhtfawyriuh3aebwurIOBrubranbufoedsjefkuebwi ofjildsbuf okEWN JIBR9ORJBUIFOJFAEWIU FIe jwifojewiowhjfl”, you are usually so worked up that you can reach them without thought. Caps lock can also go on and off during this one. (and “Klafjdkfjaiefkamkl djgviam lkfjeokwljfakjdklf ajesdkljfkoewjfkandsjilf jkeldjafnkj ewklsadj fkljeakaewmfljdsiofk” can also use caps lock, my example simply didn’t.)
re-blog with more? if you want?
