This Keto Chinese BBQ Pork recipe tastes just like regular Char Siu Pork but doesn't have any extra sugars. It's marinated in a tasty mix of keto-friendly ingredients and then baked until it's just right. The result is keto-friendly, tender pork slices that are full of flavor.
Ingredients: 1 lb pork shoulder, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons soy sauce. 2 tablespoons sesame oil. 2 tablespoons erythritol or preferred keto-friendly sweetener. 1 tablespoon rice vinegar. 1 teaspoon five-spice powder. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon ginger powder. 1/4 teaspoon red food coloring optional, for color. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, erythritol, rice vinegar, five-spice powder, garlic powder, ginger powder, and red food coloring. Add the pork slices to the marinade and ensure they are evenly coated. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results. Preheat the oven to 375F 190C. Place the marinated pork slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pork is cooked through and slightly caramelized, flipping halfway through. Remove from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve hot and enjoy!
