Apptober Day[12];
Well now. I have not been as active as I should have the last few days, which is going to require some serious cuts to the features I had scheduled. But, I found some interesting royalty-free music that I can use for background (Hilda is apparently a Heavy-Metal Dwarf) and I finally learned enough of Unity’s Animator system to create some cute animations with my stand-in character: Blocking, shield bashing, and a defensive smack that she can do while she is blocking.
I still need to create some monsters to fight so that I can set up the colliders and make sure that hitting and blocking are working appropriately. This will definitely end up being a very small game, but I think I’m going to enjoy making it anyway.
Apparently kersmack (and it’s counterpart kersmash) aren’t actually words. Not even on urban dictionary. I could have sworn I picked them up from somewhere but I guess not? It is basically just an added sound effect to emphasize the smack or smash in a typically semi-sarcastic way.
