"Artisanal fishing boats offloading their catch of sardines on the beach of Kayar, Senegal. The schools of pelagic fish that once seemed inexhaustible are diminishing due to heavy pressure from both artisanal boats like these as well as industrial trawlers far offshore. Further complicating life for local fisherfolk, is that the big schools have been migrating northward some 5° (300NM) every 10 years for the past few decades due to changing sea temperatures."
