They have gone by many names over many moons, but these are the ones they have chosen to settle. After Stagstar loses his final life in a tragic accident during explorations of the tallest peaks, his son Fawnstar finally takes his place as leader of the first settled territory.

His story, and more, are free to read on my syrver! Members were able to read along as it was written, waiting with bated breaths for each post. Just imagine the cliffhanger potential.

Here, let me give you a sample...

Following the border of KarstClan and CapeClan, there became apparent a sliver of a strange wood. The grass became darker, the ground softer, then wetter. Eventually, their legs began to sink deeper, until there was water lapping at the lowest furs of their bellies. The dirt between their toes had been replaced with a sodden, muddy moss.

None of them would have imagined to feel something flicker past their leg, darting like a fish, but the coastal cats recognized the ripples instantly. There were things living in this dense vegetation.

"Find something to get on top of." Logfin climbed atop a mossy hump. It wasn't a rock underneath as he expected, but it got his paws out of the water.

The KarstClan cats shared a look. "Is the acting deputy of CapeClan really so worried about fish that small?" Ivytail whispered, and Pumaleap muffled a snort.

Goldpaw was ascending up the tree he had been inspecting, taking care as he made the unfamiliar climb. It wasn't his greatest skill, but Longfin had taught him that focus could account for more than raw talent. So he ignored everything else.

Leafpaw hesitated, glancing between Anisebite and his former mentor. At last, he looked at Longfin.

He was halfway up the hump with Anisebite when they heard a bone-chilling wail from above the leaves.

"They're in the grass!"

A cat appeared from the tallest branches, its pelt standing on end with horror. Its eyes were rounder and brighter than the moon, and there was a wretched fear in its eyes when it screamed:

BRISTLETAIL of KarstClan is a prideful leader who doesn't think anyone deserves xer respect unless you earn it. After helping lead the rebellion against Darkstar and the Brierscode as a whole, it took over leadership and kept Darkbriers as a prisoner and exiled Marredface and Clearpool, as well as demoted Darkbriers' daughter, Wolfbriers, from deputyship.

Since Darkbriers still had three lives left over from her leadership, Bristletail can't recieve xer nine lives and among most isn't considered a real leader. Xe hold a lot of distrust for FroryClan, after their alliance with xer clan during the Brierscode times.

The kindest thing Bristletail did for Darkbriers' supporters was make Elmprance deputy, a tom who, while loyal, had been one of her biggest supporters. Bristletail believed that this made for a good show of trust- and Elmprance was a fantastic warrior anyways.
