I was an ambulatory wheel chair user.

My disability came from Isao Shinomiya abusing me during a training session. I had said something that pissed him off or I wasn't doing something perfectly or... something. He kept hitting me and I wanted it to stop so I physically disengaged my comvat suit by tearing it off. Doing so left the pins from the spinal plates in my back. They got infected and caused nerve damage and weakened bone structure. The pain alone had me bed ridden and wheelchair bound.

I spent a year in physical therapy to be able to walk again and got a procedure done to put implants in my back that the pins would basically plug into so I could use a combat suit without risking more damage to my nervous system.

Missing Mr. Isao abit this evening honestly. Well actually it's more like I miss most things. I miss fighting and I miss training. I still game like i used to 'n stuff but that only makes me feel half complete, yk?

It's like I'm not me when I don't hear the alarm every so often, wear that skin tight suit, go out, kick ass 'n save the day!

I was an ambulatory wheel chair user. I wasn't born with my disability though, my father, Isao Shinomiya, was beating the shit out of me because I made him angry during a training session and I had to forcibly disengage my combat suit to stop him from beating me. I achieved this by tearing it off, but doing so left the pins that run on either side of the wearer's spine embedded in my back. He disowned me and forced me to leave our family home. The adrenaline enabled me to run a pretty good distance from our home before I collapsed and passed out from the pain. When I came to, I was in immense pain. I had developed a spinal infection that damaged my vertebrae in my low to mid back. The pain was so debilitating I almost could not move. I remember when Gen came to the hospital to break up with me because he chose my father's mentorship over our relationship, I had to fight to drag myself out of bed and support myself on my IV stand to stagger after Gen as I yelled at him that I didn't need him or Isao. I was shaking because the pain was so intense.

The doctors said I would likely be unable to walk again, but thanks to PT and rehab, I was able to get to a point where I could stand and walk for short periods. They also told me I couldn't wear a combat suit again, but I demanded they perform an operation where they inserted what looked like earphone jacks into my back where the pins would go.

I had to have extra power limiters in place. Base power I could access 1-24% unleashed combat power, after removing the first limiters i could access up to 50%, after the second I could access up to 75% and the final limiter opened me up to 100% UCP. The first limiter I could request removal for myself. The second, my operator would usually ask me several times if I was sure I wanted it removed, and the third limiter could only be released by authorization of someone captain rank or higher. The more power I used, the more aggravated my injury would get, and I would end up laid up on bed rest for a few weeks.

Most people were chill about my disability but Gen and Isao were ableist about it.

Wishing Isao Shinomiya a very die on this father's day. He's gonna make his big appearance (as in not a flashback) soon. That bitch tried to intimidate me when I advocated for Kafka and I stood up from my wheelchair and we glared at each other eye to eye. That was the first time we saw each other since he disowned me and gave me my spinal cord injury. I wanted to wail on him so bad. I should have.

But this isn't all bad because I also have to wish a happy Father's Day to Uncle Ogata. He stood by me and made sure I didn't overdo it during my rehab for the injury as well as helped me get into the Defense Force. He was floored when I told him that Isao hospitalized me. He knew that he could be prickly with his subordinates but never expected him to hurt his own kid. Ogata was so hellbent on me getting better that he paid a nurse half his salary to go private and be my nurse because she was the only one that wouldn't put up with my shit. He also permanently "owed me a favor" that was his way of telling me I could count on him whenever. Ogata *I* owe *you* a favor, if anything. I never would have been able to pay my medical bills without you.

I'm the noncanon son of Hikari and Isao Shinomiya(🤮). I was the older brother of Kikoru. Our mom was awesome. Dad was too for a while. But then mom died and he changed. After he beat me up and disowned me I took mom's maiden name, Ishida, and turned to her best friend, Juugo Ogata, and he was a great uncle/father figure. I miss him. He helped me through a lot. He was there while I was healing from the injuries Isao caused. And he helped me get into the defense force. He even pushed me to try and become a captain even though I didn't want to.

Me and my husband bonded over our mutual dislike of Narumi. I'd gotten hurt saving my husband on the field and that kicked off the relationship and we were talking about exes and I started talking about him and he was like "wait a minute *that* Gen Narumi? Hate that bastard" and it only got better from there.
