The ending of Wind and Truth can't hurt me I'm in my spren yuri mind palace
✨🩵Shhh, my blorbos are resting in Shinovar and enjoying free vacation and therapy 🩵✨
I'm a little past the middle of Oathbringer rn so no spoilers pls, but I suspect spren can see the future to some extent?
Like how Syl pressured Kal to protect Elhokar. Morally, it would really not have been wrong to let Elhokar die after all he had done. But if Kal lets Elhokar die, he never gets Syl back, never swears the second Ideal, and Dalinar dies to Szeth; maybe they don't even get to Urithiru. Syl prevented that bad timeline from happening.
I don't think she's keeping an overt ability to see the future secret, but maybe has some kind of sense for when an otherwise good decision would go badly? Maybe she was advised by another spren that could see it coming?
Again, I'm only a little past the middle of oathbringer, so I don't want to be spoiled, but I would like to hear what you think of this. Am I on to anything?
