Disclaimer: Katherine was still a human when she wrote this letter {and so will ofc be OOC}. In England, 1492 she befriended Rebekah but when she discovered Klaus's plans for her and fled, she first took the time to say goodbye to her friend.

Friend,

I do not know if this letter will ever find you, or anyone for that matter. But I still cannot bring myself to write your name for fear that Klaus will punish you for being my friend. It is quite ironic given that I do not know if you knew of his plans for me, what he planned on doing to me. But even if you did, why should you suffer? What could you have done? Klaus is a dangerous man, I see that now and I wish I could have seen it sooner, perhaps things might have turned out differently for me. But I know now, I know what he plans on doing with me and I cannot stay. I do not want to die, I want to live. I want to grow up and perhaps one day even meet my daughter. I cannot do that in death. I cannot die for such a cause, to turn an already evil man into such a monster. I would rather run forever than have my blood spilled over a rock. I am sorry for leaving you, but I cannot stay. You were kind to me and now I am leaving you, but I have no choice. All I can do is hope that our friendship was not false, hope that it was not all a charade to ensure I felt secure enough to stay and pray that you knew nothing of his plans for me.
