As of today, it's been 3 years since I attended @save_a_warrior_saw. 3 years ago, I walked away from the program with a new view on life. I processed , I meditated and I felt emotions again. In the years since, I have become the best version of me yet. This best version of me is one that is continually changing and learning. Healing doesn't happen overnight and the trauma doesn't go away magically. You have to do the bucketwork to heal. It's a tough process. It requires you to do things you don't want to do. It's easy to stay in the role of the victim because we have built our rackets around daily survival. Those rackets took days, months and years to create. It takes days, months and years to find a new way of daily practice. Is it worth everything I have done in the past 3 years? The answer is yes. Strait to the point honest. I had these same words said to me during my time with @save_a_warrior_saw and it turned my life around. Our childhood trauma has more effect on your adult life than you realize. If you see a therapist or a counselor and they DON'T ask you or talk about your trauma from childhood, ask them how it relates to your present life. If they cannot, it might be time to find a new one. Childhood trauma plays directly into moral injuries as an adult and can mask itself in your current ptsd.
