Special edition reproduction of 15 Piranesi drawings of the Temples at Paestum from the collection of Sir John Soane's Museum, London. This singular set of reproductions was photographed by Britain's National Gallery on behalf of the Soane Museum so that they could be printed by Digitalarte on to fine art paper made by the well known German firm Hahnemüehle.

This week for Workshop Wednesday, we wanted to feature yet another fellow Restoration Shop/Gallery, Mirror Fair. Established over 100 years ago, Mirror Fair has maintained their reputation as fine artisans who use old techniques to create beautiful mirrors. Similarly Jonathan Burden LLC strives to restore antique pieces using antique wood as well as old techniques. Go team!
This week for Workshop Wednesday, we wanted to feature the sad news of a marble yard in Venice that was established in 1896. The Antico Laboratorio Marmi Artistici is likely going to be replaced with a hotel or possibly tourist shopping center. As a business of a similar field, we wanted to express our remorse for the atelier and say that we agree with the local Venetian schoolchildren who asked in 2012, “Do you think that’s progress? For modern life to overthrow the historic?” (Feb. 2015).
