This is the amazing John Rylands Library in Manchester. It is really impressive. Everywhere you look it is just beautiful, from the outside and from the inside. The Harry Potter Hogwarts like corridors are an attraction by themselves but what I found most interesting were the extremely well preserved Victorian toilets still in perfect use. I was so fascinated by those wooden boxed water flushes, the original white tiles and the beautiful old taps that after I left it I saw how lucky I was to have had nature physiologically calling out exact at the moment when that toilet was the closest one! 
Oh and surprisingly, you will also find books at that library. Beautiful hand written editions of famous books dating centuries ago. What also impressed me was that there was no entrance fee (only a voluntary donation if you will) just like all other museums and attractions in Manchester. Plus the many sweet voluntary guides were always ready to clarify all my doubts about this or that book or just simply chat about life. .
