because musically it's light and it's fun and it makes you wanna dance around in the middle of your living room. all of which i feel fit tee so well!

he keeps the mood light, he loves joking around, he is absolutely the type to hop off the couch when his song comes on and drag you along with him to dance.

but then!

you get to the lyrics and they're a little teasing, sure, but the more you listen the more it feels like that teasing is being used to cover up some deeper feelings. which also feels so tee!

he cares so much! he loves so much! but he can be so quiet about that.

he hears the media build joe up into a savior and then tear him back down. he sees fans encroach on joe's privacy and his space with absolutely no regard. he watches the weight of an entire franchise be placed on joe's shoulders by a city and a sport.

and joe is capable. he's so capable. he wouldn't have gotten this far if he wasn't. and he's levelheaded, more levelheaded than any of them, he wouldn't survive in press conferences if he wasn't.

but it's so much, too much for one person, and tee watches it all and just wants to check in on joe, quietly, privately, wants to check in on him and make sure everything's okay and make sure joe knows he can lean on him because this shouldn't all be on one person.

and then

on top of all of that

he's also maybe just a little tiny bit in love with joe, and that's....yeah. because joe is joe. everyone's in love with him. everyone's vying for his attention. tee would just be a drop in the bucket of people who want him.
