I donât want to get my hopes up but I also canât help but notice the emphasis on the OG paladin lineup in the teasers and trailer, so despite myself the hope for the OG paladin lineup to return is there and alive.
The more and more I think about it, the more and more I canât see them NOT putting Shiro back in the Black Paladin.Â
Remember in the Season 6 trailer? We saw this -
We didnât know it at the time, but that was Keith.Â
What did we see in the Season 8 trailer?
Shiro? Is that you? Please be you.
BUT! The one tell-tale sign that heâll be in Atlas at the end of the season -Â
She-Ra: Princesses of Power is dropping November 16th.Â
Voltron: Legendary Defender Season 8 is dropping December 14th.Â
3Below is dropping December 21st.Â
This tells me one of two things.Â
Either DreamWorks has extreme confidence that Voltron will do well, leading into 3Below - or DreamWorks wants to bury Voltron between the She-Ra hype and the 3Below hype.Â
My gut tells me the latter. If they want Season 8 to lead into a spin-off, burying it between two other highly anticipated series isnât the way to do it. Iâd have put it ahead of She-Ra, especially if it is GOOD, and have it pave the way.Â
âLike Voltron? Youâll love She-Ra and 3Below!â
Or I would have put it at the end of the three releases, especially since we know Wizards is coming after 3Below. Â
TL;DR: There isnât enough mochi in the world to console me if Shiro doesnât end VLD in the Black Lion.Â
