Jerejean first big™️ fight post getting together and both their tempers come bursting out. Obviously neither of them means what they say but Jeremy caves first, like a dog with its tail between his legs. And he’s like I’m sorry, you were right and I was wrong and Jean’s baffled because he knows his ass was a little over dramatic with it, and he knows Jeremy has a tendency to give into him on things nowadays. So he says, just to test the waters, “you don’t believe that”. And he watches as Jeremy’s jaw works on arguments he’s holding back, and then gently takes Jeremy by the chin and says, a gentle reminder, “you do not have to censor yourself around me”. And so Jeremy takes a big breath and bursts out with something like I just think you were being ridiculous, and not listening to me, and— and Jean waits until he’s done, and then says you’re right. I wasn’t, and I’m sorry. But you weren’t listening to me either. And Jeremy kinda deflates and apologizes, too, and they sit and talk it out and the compromise is so easy that they both feel a little silly about arguing in the first place, and Jeremy still feels really guilty, and kinda like one wrong move is going to send their relationship into flames, until Jean asks, “what did you call me again?” And Jeremy flushes and braces, but repeats the name he called Jean.
