{DAYDREAM} Draft: Prologue
“Monologue”: Once your mind is able to connect with anything, many thoughts will become special.
In a calm neighborhood where birds chirped and trees rustled, the sun rises over the hills as a brand new day was about to begin. As its light seeps through the blinds of a window, a young man would eventually awaken with a quiet yawn. “The sun seems a little brighter today”, the young man thought to himself. “But at least the sky is as clear as day~.” “Jarron! It’s almost time for class! Please get ready~!” Jarron’s mom calls out. And with that reminder, the young man begins his day.
Jarron’s days aren’t anything out of the ordinary. He goes to school to study, he plays video games at home and he takes the opportunity to draw pictures, featuring characters he personally feels fond of. A good amount of those characters came in different shapes and sizes-with some looking more unique compared to another. One character may appear cartoony while another showcases realistic proportions. Each and every one of them had a distinctive design-all of which are adored by the young artist, even if they were created by individuals with broader imagination.
As the evening began to settle in, with one long day over, it was time to rest as Jarron freshened himself for bed. As the young man laid down on his bed, he couldn’t help but wonder how life would be if things were more unique. Being able to roam past the green hills, soaring towards the distant galaxies, living in the bustling city and venturing to lands beyond his own. And if he were to meet people like the characters he’s loved for most of his life, then maybe…Life would be more fun than before!
“One day,” Jarron says to himself, “I’ll partake in those adventures. Somehow…In some way…” Soon enough, Jarron closes his eyes and falls into a deep slumber. Although the thoughts of being in worlds he adore still lingered within that slumber. That’s when something majestic happened. As Jarron remains asleep, a mysterious force surrounded his body before making his essence sink into the depths of an empty void. Nothing else existed as he descent slowly into the dark. But upon one deep breath after another, things began to manifest as well as patterns lighting up the void. The void lit brighter the deeper Jarron fell, so much so that the light seeped through his lids of his eyeholes. And just when he was about to reawaken from his slumber, the young dreamer would find himself beyond his usual world.
