What do you think of poppy playtime?

This is so dumb but I’m genuinely upset about how bad poppy playtime chapter five is, I get the devs worked hard on it but the story is just lost here. everything I liked about the game is gone in this chapter and it has taken me this whole time to get even halfway through the game because it’s just so starkly contrasting the rest of the series. There is no emotion now, I loved chapter four because we got a feel for how they suffered before and after the hour of joy but this chapter is just so full of gimmicks and new characters and mechanics but nothing is actually progressing story wise. I get that they had built it up since the beginning so the prototype was probably never going to perfectly meet what we expected bc at this point it’s just so convoluted, but it really doesn’t even match what we see catnap worshiping in chapter 3. Im also just sad that now I’m not going to be able to watch back or replay the old chapters without thinking of how badly they fumbled the story

Someone on Tik Tok made such a valid point about how Mob Games honestly doesn’t think things through anymore. The advertisements in the bottom of Playcare where the scientists worked. They would be the first or second people to know about a new toy. They would have to prepare the skin, teeth, the fur, and so on. The first levels where people come and visit would be the perfect places for those advertisements, why are they at the bottom? I understand for the game and that the players want to know about the new characters, but for lore sake it makes no sense. Before the Hour of Joy the toys we see now, the public would have already have met and seen ads for. This could be a stretch but I wanted to share how I thought about this take. The gameplay of Chapter 5 was subpar; a game you only play once. The lore of this entire series is amazing. I would love to see a book adaptation of this game. Not like the extra books of Fnaf but just the story of Poppy Playtime.

I’ve seen so much discourse about Poppy Playtime chapter 5, and as always I have my opinions. I watched Caseoh play the chapter live and it was incredibly long. Why would there be such a complicating puzzle for such a small task? The whole point of the game was to find out information to kill the prototype. Now, why would there be such a large puzzle whilst trying to get the paperwork? Also, why the hell is the doctor back? Granted he might have had a backup folder in playtime files, but why? I would be shocked if he helped us and honestly it would be corny. I’ve seen this so many times in stories of how the “bad guy helps the hero to defeat the ultimate bad guy.”, I think it’s weird. Also why do they kill off such good characters but bring back the worst ones? Why the hell is poppy still alive after what the prototype did to her? I can’t stand that stupid doll, she’s been on my list since chapter two. Honestly Mob Games is just trying to stretch the chapters to make more money. The only reason they made Lily Lovebraids was to make another money ploy. Little kids who watch gameplays will want a Lilly toy. This game should’ve ended this chapter. It’s lousy and diminishes the story that we love.
