I recently made a proxy order through the amazing @beansproutsong and was asked to write a review, which I’m more than happy to do!! If anyone is looking for a proxy in Japan to help buy Japanese merchandise, please do give them a chance!

I had asked @beansproutsong to help me proxy pull on a kuji/lottery for some merchandise for the mobile game series, A3! They were very quick with responding and even offered to do trades for me for the characters I wanted, which is a huge bonus that not all proxies have to offer! I had a large order and was looking for several characters and they were kind enough to do many trades for me! I was very, very happy with the end results!

A second item that I had them help me source and buy was a stage play DVD that I’ve been looking for for a while now. I wasn’t able to find it online at my usual sources and they were able to find it for me quickly and even gave me a several buying options (i.e. with or without bonus content).

In addition, their proxy fee is very reasonable considering the extra service that they did for me by trading! They also packaged all of my items nicely and shipped my package out in a timely matter! Communication is always very clear and quick with them, so I never felt like I was in the dark!

I’ve used several different proxies before and @beansproutsong was definitely one of the top ones I’ve worked with especially when it comes to communication and good pricing! They also have listings of what they’re able to buy, but please don’t hesitate to reach out to them if there’s an item you’re looking for that they didn’t list! I hope that this review helps anyone out there looking for some help with acquiring goods in Japan!

[Rant] Please read if you want to order mercari with me.

For you who are a big fans of Mercari

This is why I did not recommend you using them.

A seller shipped the item and it was returned to them TWICE, because they forgot to write my address. Most stupid reason ever. How can they ship to me if they did not write the address?

At the end the seller is asking if it’s possible to ship with tracking (extra cost than the original).

To be honest this is not my first time dealing with problematic seller. And if you search at twitter, you’ll find more scam practice on mercari like selling an (sealed) empty boxes

That being said, if you order mercari with me, Here’s my terms:

I am not accepting request for anything related to K-pop in Mercari.

I don’t want to check the authenticity of the product. If it’s a fake or bootleg, it’s not my responsibility.

I don’t want to check the content of the package. If it’s a sealed box, I’ll ship as it is. If it’s turned out empty, damaged, or some part is not complete, it’s not under my responsibility.

I do not want to deal with the seller if your package lost somewhere. Your money will not be refunded for this. Please understand that to file a missing item I need to go to a big post office (not a local one) to file the report IN PERSON. I have 9 to 5 job, I don’t have time to do this.

Hi folks! I’ll be attending Comiket 94 this Saturday 8/11. 

Here is a list of the anime/genres for all 3 days (japanese site). I am only attending day 2 so all light blue squares with a “2” refer to that day. Day 2 covers most JUMP/sports anime/manga. 

Will buy for any fandoms, though priority currently is Haikyuu --> Boku no Hero Academia --> everything else in East Hall --> official vendor tables. 

SuToCorp has always been my proxy when I am trying to bid for items on Yahoo Japan Auctions. Initially, I chose them because the fees that they charge are really the cheapest out of all the proxies I checked, and they were quite fast in helping me to bid for the items. I will say they reply their E-Mails quite fast too in most people’s perspective since they reply within 24 hours but it’s slow to me as they take several hours since I am an impatient person. Everything went smoothly the first few times.

However, a problem surfaced this time. I approached them to purchase some items for me on both Yahoo Japan Auctions and Amazon Japan. I sent them both the links and description of the items I am buying on Amazon Japan since I am buying used items and the quality of the used items differ from acceptable to ‘like new’. They bid the items for me on Yahoo Japan Auctions immediately after I sent them the payment and I won the items after a few hours. I E-Mailed them and thanked them, and repeated the links and descriptions of the items I am buying, even with the numbers of the items on their respective listings so that SuToCorp will not get the wrong items. At night (10.58p.m.), SuToCorp E-Mailed me telling me that they have already ordered and sent the money to the seller, and told me to check the orders and tell them if there is any problem within 24 hours. I checked my E-Mail at around 1a.m. and was shocked to see that three out of four of my orders on Amazon Japan are wrong! I immediately replied them and sent them the three links and descriptions AGAIN and told them to please change as soon as possible. They replied me and said they would update me again. But in the morning, I received another E-Mail from them saying that they couldn’t change the orders because the items were already on their way. I am seriously very pissed off because I actually sent them the links and descriptions of the items for more than 4 times, and repeatedly asked them to buy according to the descriptions too, yet they still got 3 out of 4 of my orders wrong, and the worst thing is they are telling me that they couldn’t change the orders.

So what am I supposed to do now? I was searching for used books that will at least not have any defects and they bought a book which is only ‘acceptable’? I paid them the right amount for the books with better conditions and they bought me the same books but the conditions of the books are not up to my expectations.

Overall, I will give this purchase a negative review because I am utterly disappointed in SuToCorp when it comes to buying items on Amazon Japan.

They E-Mailed me last night and informed me that their purchasing division will replace the wrong orders after I threatened to open a dispute case using PayPal and write a negative review about them on Tumblr and they sent me screenshots of the right orders this afternoon. However, when I went to Amazon Japan to check, the items that I wanted are still there, so I am not really sure if they really replaced the orders. I will update this post again a few days later and hopefully they will keep to their promise.

I will write a positive review about them after I received my items, provided that they didn't lie to me.

Paid SuToCorp on Tuesday (24 December 2014) and told them to ship my books out as soon as possible because I really hope to receive my books before the year ends but I have never heard anything from them after they confirmed my address with me, so I sent them an E-Mail last night asking them when they will send my items out, but no replies from them. I guess I will wait since it's Christmas. And I am really glad that they replaced my wrong orders though they said before that they are unable to do so. But please allow me to rant a little on how expensive the shipping fee is. I ordered 9 books which add up to 2.5kg based on official information released, but SuToCorp charged me 5000 Yen because the parcel is 4kg now. I mean I know the books have to be well protected with bubble wraps, cardboards and all but surely bubble wraps and cardboards don't add up to 1.5kg? My heart is bleeding because the shipping fee exceeded my budget by 1500 Yen. T__T

I received my parcel just now and it was quite disappointing because SuToCorp didn't even try to protect my books using one or two layers of bubble wrap. Luckily, the books arrived in pretty good condition.

However, I saw that the post office wrote on the parcel that the total gross weight is only 2660g, hence SuToCorp was only charged 4000 Yen, but they charged me 5000 Yen.
