Fanfiction Rec List
I would like to point everyone’s attention onto the AO3 archive of Guardians of Ga’Hoole fanfiction because there are exactly 22 fanfictions in that category. (The only fic for Wolves of the Beyond is a self insert 2012 smut)
So I just wanted to list someone my favorites that I’ve read in my desperate scour for decent fanfiction. (in no real order).
The Twilight Zone by undercover_chicken
This is a very unloved 4-part series. An alternate universe where everything is twisted upside down. The Guardians are egg-snatchers and evil, the Pure Ones and St. Aggies are the handful standing, ready to take them down.
It is amazingly written and planned out, but it doesn’t have much love. I went into this fanfic thinking, by the comments and kudos, that it wasn’t very good. But it blew me away, and I don’t say that often with fanfiction. I FELT things.
Reminiscence, For The Fallen by Izzu
This fanfic is exactly like the title and it’s just bittersweet feels going on through Soren’s head. Of course, there’s Sorelli. I absolutely love this one.
Sons And Daughters, Out For Slaughter by @celestial-vapidity

A HEADCANON THAT I FELL IN LOVE WITH WHEN READING THIS
It also tells the story of how Kludd rose to power, and I love that the author made Kludd and Nyra’s love genuine. TRULY AMAZING
Uncle Soren by Izzu
This is a very sweet fic and is just pure bittersweet fluff(this is gog, everything is bittersweet)!! Coryn hangs out with the Weather chaw and there is some Sorelli! Recommend highly for an easy read.
Of Chicks and Owlets by Izzu
FIRST OTULEVE FIC ON THE SITE I HAVE COME ACROSS
SOMEHOW IT’S RARE
A very cute fic with Otulissa stressing about the coming of her chicks! Band dynamic is strong with this one
The Gem of Ambala by Izzu
Izzu is very good with mid and post timeline stuff, this one was no exception.
This fic tells the story of the scene where Soren and Pelli first met, as well as some Band fluff later on. Really sweet fic!
Acceptance by Izzu
Soren and Hortense fic, not shippy, they talk about Coryn. =) (I love this author with my entire being)

This one has some Coryn/Phillip in it, a ship I am extremely weak for, if no one knows.
The fic is pretty good and angsty and also Ft. Phillip’s Scroom.
Like the title says, it plays with the theory/headcanon that Coryn was shattered by his own mother. CelestialVapidity’s fics are always a good read, =)
