Incorrect Guardians of Ga'hoole

So to actually resurrect the initial purpose of this page I would need to, y’know, work all that out with myself first.

I've thought about this a lot actually and whenever I go for my annual reread of the series, I've settled into believing more that when they get their adult feathers is the bird equivalent of your pre-teens/very early teens.

Birds (and most animals) age very differently and at an incomparable pace to humans, but Lasky's owls are anthropomorphized enough that you can kinda tell where the stages are. Plus I don't think they have regular bird lifespans cause again, anthropomorphism. Ezylryb's mentioned that he's been teaching for several decades by the time Soren and the Band arrive. And don't even get me started on Soren himself, it makes my blood BOIL knowing that he's still fucking alive in Bears of the Ice, I swear if a semi-strong breeze went near him it would be enough, literally anything, god someone kill him already-

If they were humans, I'd say they were in St. Aggies for their entire childhood and escaped as small teeny teens (11-13). With Twilight being an older teen (15-18) and Digger the same age as Soren and Gylfie. The rest of the first half of the series would be them growing up but still teenagers (they sure as hell act like it). With probably books 5 and 6 being more so young adult, or about to be. The big Coryn timeskip would add a few decades, meaning they're well into adulthood and into their 30s at the very least.

Oh yeah absolutely. This blog's header and icon haven't been updated since I made it so sorry if it gives the movie exclusive impression. I'm more on the book side and it'd be kinda weird if it was only movie characters.
