I feel like a big foundation of this episode, which is going underrecognised, was about women. With International Women’s Day in just a couple of days, it shows off the women at the heart of things as well as women’s struggles to get treated equally, especially women of colour, in the healthcare system.
Makedah from Admin, who volunteers to help out with running after hearing the ED desperately needed it. Dr King desperately trying to help her sister and get her treatment whilst also juggling the extreme stress of her deposition.
Santos holding Jude’s hand after he admitted he was scared and didn’t want to see, then continuing to reassure him every time someone said some medical terminology that scared him. Chantal, the sister of that young boy who left college to come look after her little brother after their parents were deported, who has become more of a mother than a sister to him, who is so terrified of being separated from her brother because she knows the increased likelihood with them being poc.
Monica, the veteran clerk, who, despite being laid off by the technological revolution, comes back to the hospital without hesitation to help them out when her skills are most helpful. Lauren Milford, who, after years of estrangement due to wanting to separate herself and her son from her abusive father, hears her brother is ill, and despite it all, calls back to talk to him before his surgery, who makes plans with her brother after the surgery to reconnect.
Amaya, who has PCOS, who is so used to being ignored by doctors that she had to switch to another OBGYN to get treated seriously. How it’s McKay who steps in while talking to Whitaker and emphasises that Amaya should stay for observation, rather than be dismissed like so many doctors before. McKay, who also sits with Roxy, so she’s not alone, and talks to her about death when the ED is packed, and there is hundreds of things needed to be done. Roxy, who tries her best to hide her pain when her son climbs on her so he can hug her. Roxy, who’s biggest regret in facing death, will be leaving behind her sons and not getting to see them grow up.
There’s so many more moments in this episode as well, all of it serves as such a beautiful reminder of how important women are within the healthcare system, patient advocacy, and their care. Happy International Women’s Month <3
A very Happy International Women’s Day to this Diva!!
At the Seoul aquarium in 2016 this female sand shark was annoyed with a fellow male shark that kept bumping into her, so she ate him

Happy International Women's Day 🫶🏻💕 Hope you all know you're bad ass and your ex is a loser. And also please always be as unhinged and angry and loud as possible and tell them to go fuck themselves more often.

Aziraphale and Women
Happy International Women's Day!
I want to highlight how much Aziraphale sees and cares about women.
First up, Eve- she was expecting so of course Aziraphale had to help with whatever he could - he gave away his God-given sword.
Aziraphale went along with Madame Tracy like house on fire - quickly getting her to agree to his crazy scheme and having her barely batting an eyelid when he decided to fly the three of them at a breakneck speed to Tadfield!
Aziraphale insisted they stop to help Anathema, he healed her and demanded from his demon boyfriend that they drive her home.
Aziraphale is immediately taken by Elspeth and desperate to keep her from Hell, esp after he meets Wee Morag.
Aziraphale is extra kind to Mary Hodges who they accosted and makes sure that when she wakes it's with a pleasant memory.
Without a thought Aziraphale instantly forgets about rent Maggie owes him (which he didn't even remember about) making Maggie's year.
I bet so many women-led businesses thrive on Whickber Street because he is there.
And having a regency ball in his shop to make two women fall in love...?
I have this fabulous gif of Mrs Sandwich so yes, thank you @queentorizira, Aziraphale is absolutely looking out for her and her girls. AND he's the first one to invite her to the Shopkeeper's meeting!!
Thank you @lookingatacupoftea - oh how could I forget how Aziraphale cared for and understood Sitis, unlike anyone in Heaven who thought she'd be happy with 7(!) more children nor care about losing her three. He risked everything for her family. If he fell, he'd likely never see Earth or Crowley again.
Happy International Women's Day to my favourite scene from the original Tomb Raider movie
