NEW VIDEO
A video essay about the aesthetics and character design style of Final Fantasy Tactics, especially focused on how the game uses its technical limitations and aesthetic to support its story-within-a-story metanarrative, and an examination of the curious, noseless character design style, with a theory about Why It Looks Like That.
Also, I lay out how the character designs of the two principal characters, Ramza and Delita, are used to tell their stories and trace their character arcs over the course of the game.
MINOR SPOILERS for Final Fantasy Tactics, obviously, I've kept it vague but if you want to play the game completely blind you might want to postpone this video.
Thunder God Cid finally got official art work in celebration of Tactic's Relaunch!!!

Tactics Weekly ⚔️
Zeromus condemns the Judge Magisters
Final Fantasy Tactics is a game about the destructive greed carried by those who want nothing but to acquire more power by any means necessary and how the cost that conflict unfairly deposits upon the lower classes leads people to renounce on their morals in order to commit the most desperate of actions. And also the Problem Demon. The Problem Demon is actually not directly responsible for much and is potentially pretty reasonable, but all of her besties are INSANE about her and she's summoned under circumstances that put her fight or flight through the roof so you still have to put her down in order for things in Ivalice to become "miserably okay" instead of "godawful bad" for the next 50 years.
