This month my local lolita comm is celebrating 20 years, and I stumbled upon this article from Kera 99, October 2006 that features Otakon 2006. Otakon is a local anime convention, though off the top of my head, I don't recognize anyone in the photos (I didn't join my local egl community until a few years after I started wearing lolita, and I think the first Otakon I wore lolita to was 2010?)

Debuted my crochet Zagreus at Otakon on Saturday!
This is my first crochet sword! (it lights sup and has a sensor to change the lights and play sounds when it moves, but the battery died the Saturday morning 😭)
