Exactly a year ago today I was being blue lighted into UHW with severe renal sepsis, and nearly died. That particular incident is actually the seizure-spasm used at the beginning of my documentary, The Incurable Optimist. It was one of the most horrible and scary ones of my life, and I felt so unwell. But today, I was at the top of the world; today if not quite literally, then definitely metaphorically! The view from the top of the mountains 🏔 was breathtaking (zing a good way, not an I-Need-Oxygen way!) and humbling. Nature has a wonderful way of reminding you that you’re just one small part of a big, beautiful world. I’ve had a hell of a year, y’all. I’ve had so many days I thought I’d never see the end of. And for a lot of this year, I was too poorly to go on holiday with Jumbulance... it was the first time in six years we were even considering the fact I wasn’t well enough to go, but at the time the travel seemed impossible. But, here I am! It’s a genuine miracle, and one I’m very happy about. It hasn’t been easy getting here; I have fought with claw and tooth and nail to survive this year, to get through the valley of shadows and climb to the top of the mountain... but now I’m here, damn was it worth it. Because the view? It’s incredible. I just want to say that there’s a very long list of people I wouldn’t have survived this year, literally or emotionally, without, and the number one person is @mjenga10 💚 the reason I’m able to be here in Austria and see such amazing sights, and do such amazing things, but equally importantly, she’s the reason I made it to today. She’s my personal miracle! I guess what I’m trying to say is; A) I LIVED BITCHES!
