When I post about my holiday with Jumbulance, you guys generally only hear about the good stuff. But just because I’m on holiday, I don’t stop being a very poorly palliative care patient. I still have all the medical crap to deal with... and that includes my seizures/spasms. Tonight I had a pretty big and very painful seizure-spasm combo at the dinner table (luckily I’d had my dinner; I was starving, and yesterday I had to skip tea because of a seizure, so I’d have been hella mad if it happened again!). My spasms/seizures are horrible... but what makes them far easier to bear during these holiday with Jumbulance is these amazing people who support me through these seizures and are there to offer much needed comfort, love and cwtches after 💖 pictured here are just a few of the wonderful angels who supported me tonight. Helen told me tonight I’m incredibly brave for dealing with what I go through, but I told her that I think it’s people like her, like these guys, and especially like Jade, who actually choose to witness my pain and suffering and support me through it, whilst knowing these episodes can be life threatening... to me, doing that, supporting someone through that, loving someone through that, is true bravery. I don’t have a choice about dealing with my spasms/seizures; they do, and they still choose to do it. Love these guardian angels of mine so much 💖 extra special shout out to @carenzajordan and @jdavies1988 for the best cwtches 💖!
