It's been a while since I've done this, but I have some free time and I feel like continuing this. This next one is fairly new, it's only be out for a few years, and is currently on season 5. In this world, you go to school to that trains you to fight monsters, be protectors, and unlock abilities you didn't know you had.
The world of Remnant is a place full of amazing things. Hunters and Huntresses that travel the world fighting evil and monsters called grimm. The main thing that's really cool is the concepts of Aura and semblances. Aura being the supernatural energy that everyone has and can tap into. It's pretty much used to boost all of a person's physical abilities, provide a higher level of defense against injuries, and provides a bit of accelerated healing. That is if you don't use up all of you aura. You use up your aura by using your semblance or by being hit. Once you run out, your protection is gone. You still may be able to use your semblance. As for semblances, they're special abilities that differ from person to person. Ranging from making clones and symbols, to creating illusions, to affecting how the environment works for or against you or someone else. Then there are the weapons. The weapons are insane. The simplest weapons are swords, guns, lances, or things or the like. It can be taken a step further by giving those weapons a carousel with empty chambers you can put dust capsules in. What is dust you say? Dust is made from the crystals that store elemental energy in them (fire, lighting, wind, ice, etc). Those crystals are ground into a fine powder then put inside said capsules. They're extremely volitale though and can go off if handled too rough, but allow your weapon to have, seemingly magical, mid/long range elemental projectiles. You can also mix the dust with your semblance to give it differing effects if shooting elemental energy isn't good enough for you. To go a step beyond that is to make a weapon that can transition between CQC weapon, like a sword or spear, to a gun, or any kind of mid/long range weapon. If you haven't seen RWBY, there's a character that has a GIANT HAMMER that can turn into a GRENADE LAUNCHER! Nothing is off limits. If you can handle it, you can use it. Oh, and then there's the faunus. People who have animalistic physical attributes. Animal ears, horns, fangs, claws, tails, fins, you name it. But because of this, they're discriminated against and sometimes treated as second class citizens. Often being the victim of bullying and racism. While they are fighting to change how they're viewed, some of them have taken it a step too far and wish to start a war with humans. To show them that the faunus are not ones to be treated as lesser. But with that said, here comes the really bad. The main problem with the world of Remnant is the Grimm. Shadow creatures that do nothing but attack people. They're drawn to negative emotions and can devastate any village or settlement outside the protective walls of a kingdom. They seem to resemble mythical monsters from fairy tales or highly dangerous real world animals. If not grimm, then bandits that attack and ransack villages, causing people to become panicked, stressed, angry, hateful, and greedy. That in turn bring the Grimm to wipe out what's left of what the bandit's didn't take, kill, or destroy.
In short, RWBY is a wild card. You run the chance of being attacked an any given point and lose your life before it has a chance to start if born on the wrong side of a wall. You could easily become the victim of bandits or a Grimm attack. But if you manage to make it through and get to a kingdom, if not already born into one, there's no telling what could happen and where you'll go.
