Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow, by Gabrielle Zevin I really read this one ages ago, over #Ithacon weekend, while I spent the rest of my time demoing our games, playtesting a new game, and talking about game design. Such a strange feeling. #Tomorrowx3 is all about game design and creativity, what parts of ourselves come out in our games, and which parts of our relationships come out in games and game dev. The main characters are the right age for Oregon Trail memories, and there’s a running joke about the classic You Have Died of Dysentery. But this is more about friends riffing on a shared experience, this isn’t a novel of gamer references (I'm looking at you, Ready Player One). The games, real and imagined, exist to tell the story of creativity, friendship and love.
