Solider! Calum - Part 1
You first met Calum when you were introduced to everyone who would be in your squad while being deployed in Afghanistan. He was going to be the corporal of your fire team when you went out on missions. But other than that you did not expect to be associated with the handsome man. That was until the day he came knocking on your door, asking to speak with you.
âSo, solider. I read through your fileâ he rumbled as you gave him a quick once over, telling yourself it was to see what kind of man he was. He stood with his legs shoulder length a part, hands behind his back, but his shoulders were relaxed. You quickly decided that you liked him once you looked up to meet his dark eyes, that were swirling with something you decided to place as mischief. âOkay sir, did you find anything good?â the fake innocence you put in your voice was obvious to the both of you. You knew well what your file said about you. âActually I did.â He lifted his eyebrows along with the smirk that curled up his lip. He knew this shocked you, cause at the start of your file it said you had âattitude problemâ that just because the guy that trained you was a proper sexist dickhead. âIt said that you are good at reading people and situations. So I have a proposal for youâ he said calmly. That was not at all what you had expected. âOkay, and what may that be?â you questioned, now a bit unsure. âI want you to be my unofficial second in command.â
After that you two had been working constantly on tactics. And your fire team ended up being one of the best in your battalion. As you and Calum were sitting close to each other, knees touching, planning your next mission. You could not help the tingling you felt in you stomach as the young corporal stretched to his right and across you, to reach the extra satellite picture that laid there. âYou ready for this mission?â he asked with a smug expression on his face. âAs ready as Iâll ever be.â You sighted. These missions were never your favourite. They did not take as much time, but every time someone ended up dead, more by your hand than you would wish for. As if he could sense what you where feeling, he put a hand on your cheek and looked into your eyes. âHey, I know its rough out there, but were all in this together.â âDude, did you just reference High School Musical to me?â you said with a smug smile. He dropped his hand along with his head as his shoulders shook silently. âEvery time I try to cheer you up..â he left the sentence hanging in the air as you let out a chuckle yourself.
As you and your other team mates fastened up in the Blackhawk helicopter, Calum came walking towards the aircraft fully equipped, and you felt your gaze lock in on him. They way he just walked too confidently, helmet under his arm and focused eyes. You could not deny the attraction you felt but, you would never dream to tell him that. âHey, if you donât stop staring at him, you might as well just walk up to him and kiss him.â Someone whispered in your ear. Smoothly covering up the slight hitch in your breath with a cough, you turn around to face the read headed sniper that will be joining the team especially for this mission. âOh shut it Clifford.â You harshly whispered back, you had had a few encounters with him before this mission, and he seemed ok. Most of the time you had seen him had been in the media room, mostly on the computer writing emails, was what you guessed on. Other times you had played a few games of Need for Speed together on the outdated PS2. But you were never a fan of him being almost as good as you at judging people by their body language. âYou know you love meâ he said with a smirk as he leaned closer. One of the things you had learned a bout Michael, was that he could be the biggest flirt when he wanted to. But the great thing was, he always knew when to stop. âSure I doâ was your response as you turned your head, and the chapped lips of the sniper met your cheek. âHey Clifford, keep your lips of off my solider.â You heard a slightly annoyed voice yell from the the front of the helicopter. And there was no name of endearment, but the sound of my solider from his lips sounded like heaven to you.
Just then you heard static noise from the communication device before you understood to put them on. âOkay, weâll be above target at exactly midnight, everybody knows what to do?â a choir of âyes, sirâ from the other four team mates, before the take off started.
To start with pt.3 (Slytherin! Luke)
With your wand tucked in to your boot, and your hood safely on top of your head, you bid Ashton goodbye as you started the trip down towards the library. As you neared the doorway you heard a high pitched giggle escape the doorway, and you became weary. What it Luke had forgotten and brought another girl here? No, it couldât be. Â But as you entered you saw him with his back turned, and talking to slytherin girl. A pretty one at that. That immediately brought your walls up. As you began walking up towards them you saw the girls scowl at you. This caused Luke to turn around and give you a hopefull wide eyed smile. âWell sorry to have to leave you now, but I have a study date with y/n here.â he said briskly as he laid an arm around your shoulder and whisked you away.Â
âLet me guess, you donât like her all that much?â you asked with a tiny bit of hope in your voice. You realised your mistake as you saw his signature smirk curl up around his lips. âI donât know, whats it to you?â he looked down at you. just as you turned a corner and your eyes met in a staring contest of sorts. You never lost at staring contests. And Luke new that. âFine, she has been bothering me about going with her to Madam Puddifootâs Tea  Shop, but I cant stand the place, or her.â he chuckled. At this you got an idea. âWhatâs wrong with the tea shop?â you questioned with a raised eyebrow. Red immediately filled his cheeks. âWell, I mean.. itâs not necessarily a bad place.. I mean, I can survive, and like maybe enj..â he stopped himself as he saw the smile on your lips. âOh god, you thought I was serious! I donât really like it there either.â You laughed. He just pouted at you. âCome on, it was a bit funny, I mean do I look like I like it there?â âNo, not reallyâ Luke smiled.
As you settled down in front of a little desk riled up against a huge shelf of books, Luke asked smirking at you âso, what do we start with?â âI donât know, what do you struggle with?â you asked carefully. âEverything reallyâ he sighted. âcome on, choose oneâ you said as you slammed a three books down on the table. âHistory of magic it is, but firstâ Luke reached over and pulled the hood down so it rested on your shoulders. âThere we goâ he smiled, before picking up the book and opening it.Â
After actually getting some studying done, and Luke got away with a minimum of minutes left just staring at you. You both stood up to leave. As you neared the stairs, that meant that you would be parting ways, you gave a short wave and started up the stairs towards your own common room. Only to have a hand reach and hold on to your wrist so you stumbled down and stopped at the first step, almost making you as tall as Luke. Almost. âHey, next week when we go to Hogsmeade, go with me?â he asked in an almost timid way. Looking into his eyes you saw nothing but hope and sincerity. âOkay, yeah. Iâll go with youâ you shyly said. âGood, good.â He pressed a soft kiss against your heating cheek. âIâll see you in the next class then?â you just answered with a nod. Before pulling up your hood and going up the stairs, leaving Luke standing at the bottom with a wondering smile.

part one
âAre you ready?â
Your father walked into the small room, his eyes looking at your reflexion in the large mirror you stood in front of. You took one last look at yourself, taking in the expensive and fancy dress you were forced into and the extravagant updo your hair was fixed into. Your eyes shyed away from the mirror as you nodded a yes to your father, taking in a painfully deep breath in a futile attempt to swallow your nerves. Your father held his hand for you, making you wrap your arm around his as he walked you out and led you towards the collosal stairs.
All of the guests turned towards you, their eyes never leaving your figure as they watched you walk down the stairs hand in hand with your father. Some were looking at you with complete adoration, whilst some were eyeing you with hidden malice. Your fatherâs hand only detached from yours to hand you over to the man you couldnât even bare to look at.
âHappy birthday sweetheart,â His whispering words made you grid your teeth, lifting your eyes to meet his amuzed ones. You knew he was taunting you, as he was sure you wouldnât do anything in front of the guests.
Spoken for - CEO!Luke:
Requested: Nope, but would you believe this came to me when I was doing my homework with a ring in my hand? cause itâs true hehe
Plot line: You fill in for your father during one of his meetings with Mr. Hemmings. I donât wanna spill too much, just bear with meÂ
Head held high, you walked into the all too familiar office, your eyes bearing a stern look behind your designer shades. It was the last place you wanted to be at, but you had to remind yourself that work came first; it always did.
âWelcome Miss (y/l/n)â The receptionist abrubtly stood up as you walked in, remembering you from your previous visits; the visits that had stopped months ago; the visits that still burned in the back of your mind.
âIâm here on behalf of my father; he had a meeting scheduled with Mr. Hemmings.â The young girl quickly collected herself at your strict words, her professional demeanor taking over as her eyes scanned over the papers scattered all over her desk. There was no denying that the staff at Hemmings.Inc was very much admirable; their bossâs professionalism rubbing off on them, allowing him to have one of the most hard-working and strict staff.
âHeâs currently seeing Mr.Hood. Their meeting will be done in a couple minutes, weâre very sorry to keep you waiting.âÂ
Nodding at her words, you took a seat as you waited, your eyes scanning over the various changes you couldnât help but notice. With your eyes glued to the wide TV hanging on the wall facing you, you tried your best to shake off the nerves.Â
After all, you had been attending to business meetings ever since you turned 18, your father already making sure to integrate you in the business world. The path had been planned for you before your even spoke your first word; everything, starting from the economy and finance private lessons you had taken up as you just turned 15, to the Job you currently had at the firm, was preparing you for the final step; taking the directorâs chair.
âWhat a pleasant coincidence to see you here.âÂ
Your eyes diverted from the big screen towards the towering male. âThe pleasureâs all mine, Mr.Hood.â you stood up from your seat so as to greet him, shaking your hands as you exchanged polite smiles. Calum Hood was a well known face in the industry; consequently, you have met him a handful of times. As firm and confident as he was inside the meeting room, Calum was quite the charismatic CEO.
âOh! And congratulations on the big news!â His smile widened and became much warmer at his words, but you couldnât possibly reciprocate his enthusiasm. Only managing a tight smile and a forced thank you, you excused yourself as you marched towards the wooden door that held a golden plate announcing the CEO of the building.
The sound of clicking heels alarmed Luke, his body turning around to face his visitor as he muttered a few words into his phone before hanging up. His eyes however had not expected to find you taking a seat in one of the chairs in front of his desk.Â
He didnât like it. He didnât like how you felt so far away from him as he sat in his big chair; he didnât like how your eyes looked nothing like the warm ones he last saw.Â
Clearing his throat, Luke leaned in on his elbows as he recalled that he had a meeting with your father.
âMiss (y/l/n), to what do I owe the pleasure?âÂ
You sat up straighter, taking in a deep breath before spilling the news, mentally cursing your father for putting you in such a position.
âIâm here on behalf of my father, concerning our last deal. My father would like to offer his sincere apologies, as we wonât be closing off the deal with your company. And as you can guess, weâre pulling off our investements concerning the projectâŚâÂ
You trailed off as you muttered the well rehearsed words, seeing as Luke had hastily shot up from his seat, his hands tugging on the roots of his hair in frustration.Â
You knew how his reaction would be, hell that was your own reaction upon hearing the news from your father. Everyone knew just how important this deal was to his company; it was his biggest project yet, the plan leading to its success very well planned and studied. Yet the plan he had spent restless nights perfecting was crumbling down to pieces as the one thing he had failed to anticipate was happening; your Hotel retrieving from the deal.
âDo you have any idea what this decision can do?â Luke growled, his body leaning on his desk on his arms; his back muscles flexing with the tension; his eyes significantly turning darker, sharper.Â
Of course you knew the outcomes of your fatherâs decision, yet the reason behind it was enough to keep you from trying to change his verdict.
âWe are well aware of the consequences, a-and weâre willing to reimburse the damage that might follow.âÂ
No, it was not right. Something didnât feel right to Luke. He knew damn well that as soon as your Group would walk out of the deal, a hundred more would fight for the open spot. The Companies fought for the chance to take part in the deal, the surname Hemmings being enough to lure them in, already predicting the success of his project due to his well known reputation, but your Group on the other hand was retracting.Â
Your father was no fool, nor were you. Luke had admired the work you had both put into building up your company, both of you very driven and aspiring to outlast your competitors. Thus, it was prone that walking away from a winning deal wasnât a hazard decision, the reason now triggering Luke more than anything.
âWait, wait- Where is this coming from anyway?âÂ
Luke walked back towards you, his composure much calmer than a few minutes ago. He sat on top of his desk, his body hovering above you where you sat. Raising an anxious hand to fix the loose strands of hair, you closed your eyes in concentration as you tried to come up with a satisfying answer for him.
âIâm not supposed to get into these things, i-itâs confidential-â
Your words were cut short as a cold hand wrapped around your wrist, the hand that was tangled in your hair being lifted higher.
Luke couldnât divert his eyes from the no longer vacant patch of skin linking your knuckle and fourth finger; his hand holding yours shaking as his dry mouth attempted to swallow the lump in his throat. With every rapid beat of his heart his eyes grew wider, his chest felt tighter, his heart felt heavier.
You couldnât bare look at his baffled expression, the emotions breaking through his ocean blues shattering the composed exterior you had worked on. Deflecting your eyes from his towering figure, you started down at your shoes, the touch of his hand filling you up with a familiar chill yet flooding you up with an enormous sense of guilt at the same time. Â
Suddenly dropping your hand as if it were burning with the power of thousand suns âhis heart burning just the same- Luke furiously arised from where he sat, pacing back and forth as he fought to keep his hands from shaking and his lungs from screaming out in frustration.
âYouâre engaged?â He whispered for himself, his own mind fighting to reject the idea. âYouâre engaged.â His words were no longer questioning; he was affirming it, the veracity of the news you were throwing his way weighing him down. He was drowning, and the big rock that adorned your left hand was the sinking anchor.
Undoubtedly, Lukeâs personna was easily admired, every aspect of him notably enthralling. He was poised, composed, firm, confident and cocky at times; the characteristics forming a laudable CEO. But he couldnât keep that font in front of you; not when you had seen deeper than the CEO him, not when he had seen past your professional side, not when he had already fallen in love.
Luke ran a hand over his scruffy jaw, his lungs exhaling a deep breath through his nose as his back was still facing you. He couldnât turn around; he couldnât risk meeting your joyful eyes as you spilled the details of your engagement, he couldnât force out a congratulating smile, not when he knew that your words could very well strangle him.Â
But had he turned around, he wouldâve noticed how you shrunk further into your seat, how you were fighting the tears that threatened to spill, how you were searching for a way to escape his office. You knew that the news would break through eventually, sooner or later he wouldâve heard of your engagement as the media never failed to spill out details of your lives. Yet you foolishly still clung to the silliest thread of hope; still believed that you could somehow shelter him from the news; that you wouldnât have to face him once he hears of it. Alas, being in the same business meant that youâd never fully escape each other.
âWh-who is he? I- How?â Lukeâs mind was as blank as white sheet, the shakiness in his voice betraying his vulnerability.Â
He couldnât help it; you were his weakest point, you were the salted wound that refused to heal over time. And although Luke had a tendency to hate weaknesses and work on overcoming them, he couldnât do the same when it came to you; how could he hate the way you had understood him completely? How could he deny the warm feeling that surfaced with the mere thought of you? He had already failed at preventing every fiber in his body from yearning for you ever since you left.
âI know- I know that whatever we had wasnât ideal⌠But I-â
I hoped youâd wait for me
The words lingered in the air. He didnât need to speak them for you to understand. But he was right. Whatever had tied the two of you -as beautiful as it was, and as fun as it had been to sneak around- was not ideal. You had both known that; ever since the first glance he had sent your way when you first tagged in with your father, it was clear that pursuing your feelings screamed danger.Â
That had never managed to stop either of you. But the more invested you became in each-other, the more dangerous the situation turned out to be; more and more deals were signed between your respective firms, and you couldnât be selfish enough to imperil the profits of your companies. As long you werenât named CEO yet, he couldnât risk getting on your fatherâs bad side, just as you couldnât risk damaging his deals.Â
Still, as you parted your ways, an unspoken agreement set place: an accord that maybe it wasnât over yet for you; that perhaps you werenât supposed to come to such an abrupt end; that you could still have second chance at new beginnings. Â
But as the days, weeks and months dragged by agonizingly slow, neither of you were sure if you could hold up the end of your bargain and keep away from each-other. And as Lukeâs mind recalled that you were currently spoken for, waves of distress washed over the vow he had engraved in his heart.
âI wouldâve waited for you. For as long as tookâŚâ Your words were muffled by a silent sob, making them barely audible. But Luke had caught them, and boy was he glad he did. Turning around in a hurry, his puzzled eyes observing your every movement, Luke couldnât deciper your words. Were you giving him some kind of hope? Or were you messing with his worn-out heart?
âWhat? Whatâs that supposed to mean?â All it took for him was to hear your silenced cries, and to see your shaking shoulders as you turned your face further from him to understand. And as soon as he put two and two together, his heart shook in fear of what it might be.
âIs- is this whatâs itâs all about?â Luke managed to croak out, his eyebrows furrowing once you nodded a yes. Just like that, his worst fear became an undeniable reality.Â
Your new relationship couldnât be broken with a simple fight; and it wasnât some kind of white-veil occasion he could easily barge in and scream out âI objectâ. No, it was more than that âmaybe even too far from his reach.Â
It was an arranged marriage; a business deal tying your Company with whomever you were engaged to. It was a contract upon which lied hundreds of dollars. It was no longer just about you and him; it involved so much more.
âWho?â Luke seemed to be the only one talking, but he needed answers. Maybe he was foolish to try; maybe it was beyond him to deal with the given situation. But could you blame a loving heart for trying?
âDenisâ The name left your parted lips with as much hatred as you could muster, the exact same feeling bubbling inside Luke as he registered the name. It took every fiber in him to fight the urge to punch the nearest wall, his knuckles whitening as he fisted his hands. Your broken presence in his office was the only thing keeping him from seeing everything in red; he wouldnât allow himself to aggravate your state.
Hate was quite an underrated term when it came to Denis and his company in general. He was sleazy, corrupt, deceitful, and the list goes on. He had built up his firm from the remains of the company his father had inherited him âthe company he had shredded and torn apart; he wasnât the working type at all, as he mainly went for illegal and illicit trades, the list of his partners dragging on.Â
Sadly enough for you, your fatherâs name was imprinted on that list. Surely, your father was very keen on keeping his deals clean and sustaining a good reputation, but things werenât always that way. There had been a time when his first concern was profit, that was before you had joined him, it was before he had an actual responsibility towards you: handing you the Hotel in its best condition.
But as Denisâ company fell deeper into debts, his last resort was to bring up that black list, your fatherâs name popping in bright colors. And as soon as the blackmails and threats of exposure started coming his way, your fatherâs choice was quickly made. He had agreed to merge companies with him, allowing Denis to repay his debts as your father directed his investements towards him; hence the need to break your partnership with Hemmings.Inc.Â
Maybe there could have been a better option, maybe you didnât need to be thrown down the bus and sacrificied like you were; but there was no deying that a business deal cloaked by a marriage was the quickest and least suspicious way.
âDo you want this?â Luke almost gagged at his question, but he couldnât help himself. If he were to build up a plan, if he were to find a way out he needed to know.Â
You, on the other hand, couldnât believe your ears, for it was the first time youâve been asked about your feelings concerning the deal from the moment that ring was practically forced on your hand. The bafflement momentarily took over you as you croaked out a âwhat?â
âDo you want this? Do you want him?â Lukeâs heart broke at every word; the thought of you confirming that you did was insufferable.
âNo- God no..â You shakily answered him, your hand attempting to wipe the flow of tears, your chest feeling somewhat lighter as you had finally confessed your feelings to someone other than your soaked pillow at night.Â
Before you could register anything, you felt yourself get pulled up and crashed into a warm embrace. And as soon as the familiar scent of cologne filled your nostrils, you broke into full sobs, unable to hold them back anymore. Lukeâs arms wrapped tighter around you, his hearaching at every hearbroken cry you let out, your agonized state paining him more than the fact that you were unattainable for him.Â
His hand gently patted your head, allowing you to rest your forehead against his warm neck, the composed and almost robotic façade you had been showing for the past weeks wearing down. And perhaps that was why it hurt him the way it did; he knew you to be quite strong and hard-headed, your resistance to pressure remarkable. He not very often saw you break down, and it was definitely never as bad as your current one.Â
But it was futile for you to try and hide it when you were embraced by the only person you felt you could openly trust âthe reliance you once had for your father long gone with his deal.
âWhether you want to be with me or not, Iâm helping you through this. Weâll find a way out, I promise.âÂ
His soothing words felt like waves dragging back to the safety of the land. But he needed you to know; he desperately needed you to know that he wasnât seeking anything from you. He wasnât doing it in hopes of having you for himself, and not because his heart wanted nothing more than to hold you and have you flaunt an even bigger ring in front of everyone else. His actions were merely driven by your own rejection of the engagement. And whether or not he managed to find a way to break it, he wanted, needed you to know that he didnât expect you to repay him or want him.
If only he knew that you wanted him just as much as he wanted you.

To start with pt2 (Slytherin!Luke)
As the years passed at hogwarts, you grew to delve in to magic more than before, your mother had gotten a new husband, who acted like a dick towards you, and you had cut all contact with your father who did not want anything to do with the magic world. The only other person you really talked to was Ashton, who also got sorted into Gryffindor, even though he was a year older than you. And going at his sixth year now. He was like the brother you never had. Not necessarily an older brother but someone you trusted enough. He was also a part of why you had such good grades, but the defense against dark arts it was almost as if you helped him.Â
Trekking towards your potions class alone with your hood pulled and a song from your time in the muggleworld stuck in your head, you felt quite okay today. Also this was one of the classes you shared with the slytherins. With him. The blonde boy, Luke. He had gotten the reputation of the grades bad boy. Not that he was that bad, he didnât really play girls, they knew what was coming for them if they decided to play his games, and he just mostly would sit with his friends Calum and Michael during classes and make fun of the teacher behind their backs. And every now and then he would wink at you with cockiest smirk ever. You, the only girl he he had not been able to render speechless.Â
You walked in to the classroom to find it half full. Of Slytherins. You personally did not have much against them as people, it was all the people that had been in slytherin that scared you. Silently you made your way to the right side of the classroom to find your cauldron and some of the other necessities you would use this class. Setting yourself up at the back of the classroom you did not think of the unwritten rule that this grade had taken up. The right side belongs to the slytherins. Always. But as you were so absent from what you where doing you did not realize where you had put your cauldron down. Not until it was too late.
As you sat down on the slightly crooked stool and began sifting through the pages of your book, you felt the hood of your  robe being pulled down carefully. You slowly turned your head only to see a pair of striking blue eyes. Your mind flashed back to your first day for a short second. âDo we have a little rebel here?â he asked with a chuckle. âNo, simply someone who does not careâ came the answer before you could even think. âWell, you must care about something, huh?â Luke leaned closer to you, as you stood your ground. Or sat, depends on how you choose to look at it, either way you decided to answer âI care about a lot of things, however where i sit for two hours is not one of them.â  he stepped closer, when suddenly you heard the door slam, and professor Snape stepped in to the room. âToday we are going to attempt the Felix Felicis. Can anyone tell me what it is?â his dark voice rumbled around the now quiet room, as Luke retreated to his seat between you and Michael, who had been looking at you interaction with amusement swirling in his green eyes.Â
As you figured out slowly how to get through the potion with an acceptable speed, you could feel Snapes eyes at you from the front. As you where reading the instructions from the book, you felt something drop down at your shoulder. âI canât do it, i donât know howâ you leant slightly back to look down at the doe eyed boy leaning on you. âLook, it isnât all that hard. You just have to see the more logical side of things, think outside of the box.â you sighted. He had been kidding around with Michael all this time, and you did not want any of his bullshit right now. âBut I donât want tooâ Luke whined looking at you with pleading eyes. âIâll help you with one thing, but only if you try to work seriously.â you said as he sat up straight on his stool. As the clock ticked on, and the lesson came to an end, you rushed to finish up the potion. Luke had given up five minutes ago, without you knowing, at least thats what he thought, and just sat staring at you as you worked. With your hair flying in every direction, sleeves rolled up to your elbows and a slight sweat from the heat on your forehead. âFinish up now. And present what you have managed to mix togetherâ Snape called out with a boredom coated voice. As he walked along the desks and had a peek in the various results in the cauldrons, you could see the disappointment in his eyes. Michaels cauldron was completely void so that got a houseplant reduction of three, and Lukes just earned a look of disapprovement. When he stepped towards you he looked beside your cauldron to se the little flask with clear golden liquid. âMay I ask how you did this?â The annoyance clear in his voice. âI just thought followed the instructions Sir.â You asked in the most neutral voice you could. You had never really been a fan of Snape. Although bot of you knew you didnât follow the instructions to the dot, he still nodded you off and said â Two points for managing to fulfill the actual task at hand. I expect a paper on what you should have done differently to make the potion from those of you that failed. Class dismissed.â
After having cleared up most of your things, and receiving a couple of pats on the back from other fellow gryffindors, you exited the last class of the day. Just to be dragged to the side as you stepped outside the entrance. âSo, sweetheart, care to help me with my homework today?â  a familiar voice spoke in your ear, as he backed you into the wall. âDependsâ you answered with a smirk dancing on your lips. âDo you want to learn anything, or are you just going to stare at me?â you dared looking at the boy in front of you. âWell, a bit of both to be honest, meet me at the library at five okay?â Luke spoke as he left a kiss on your cheek, just to swiftly walk away from you before you had a chance to decline.Â
To start with (Slytherin! Luke)
So being a halfblood, you had always been aware of magic, but when your parents divorced magic became your escape from all the pain. You opted to live with your mother, in the magic world since you would soon be starting hogwarts, and needed time to prepare for all that jazz you had heard hogwarts was. So when the time came, the night before you were to leave, your mother, a former slytherin sat you down with the letter to tell you that she would love you no matter what house you came in, just as long as it wasnât the gryffindor house, which struck fear in you. Because you had been reading in the books about the history of hogwarts you had internally decided that it was the exact house you wanted to be placed in.Â
Saying goodbye to her was the hardest part about leaving, not only because your little eleven year old self could not muster out a single word, but also because she would constantly introduce you to other former slytherins. So when you finally boarded the train, you could not be anymore relieved.Â
The ride itself was okay. You found a carriage for yourself, where nobody bothered you. But sooner than you would have expected the train stopped, and you where directed towards a huge man with a big beard, guiding you towards some boats nearby. You quickly found yourself sitting in the boat with three other strangers, who you refused to talk to. They were all sitting close together and giggling about something that did not interest you one bit.
But once everyone was gathered in the great hall you could not keep still, your leg bouncing franticly up and down in a unsteady rhythm. That was until a blond boy, not much taller than your self carefully put a hand on your knee, and looked down on you. âIt will be okayâ was all he said before he removed his hand and continued to watch Dumbledore with an almost interested expression on his still a bit round face.Â
Y/N YL/N was called by McGonagall and you carefully stepped towards the stool at the front of the great hall. As she carefully put the hat on your head you instantly heard the voice inside your head. âIf it isnât another YL/N, our family is all proud slytherins. Arenât they?â the hat asked you âYes sir, but i don't think i would fit in there very wellâ your timid thoughts answered âAre you sure about that? Because you have a lot of qualities that would be good there. Loyal, bright, very hardworking and cunning, youâd make a great slytherin. With a lot of great friends, but of course, i see a very brave young woman in you, so maybe gryffindor would suit you better.â That was the moment your heart froze in your chest. The very same moment the hat yelled out your rightful house. You felt the hat being lifted of off your head, and a slight push on your back towards the cheering table.Â
As you sat down quietly you saw the blonde boy from before sauntering towards the crooked stool, and just as quickly as the hat had been placed on his head the hat yelled out âSlytherin!â You could not help but feel a slight disappointment towards the decision that had been made.Â
