My area got a ten minute downpour at about 4:30 and that was it. Things are clearing now.

The rain arrived not with the usual tumult of a desert thunderstorm, but timorous, like kitten paws on an undiscovered country. It began as a gentle pizzicato on sagebrush and built to a thunderous chorus of snare drums on the tin roof.

Today when the world turned grey,

We finally got some rain!!!
Good thing because there is a wildfire creeping towards us (it's only like 7 miles away) and I really don't want to have to evacuate ALL of my animals. The small animals are easy, I can just pack them up in their little carriers and toss them in my car. It's the horses that are going to be the issue.
No worries, I think this fire is now contained.
