#ismet

Every summer seems to put me back into a Hallowed mood, so have some doodles! Every character in this story is so fun to me for so many different reasons I have GOT to draw them all more often I swear

I for Ismet from The Hallowed!

He was raised alongside his brother, Emmit, both of them unaware of their parent's reputation as incredibly successful Monster Hunters. In an attempt to end the persecution, Monsters attacked their house, killing everyone except Ismet.

Emmit was determined enough to stick around, being revived as an Echo Monster with the ability to manipulate other's Echoes, or memories. Ismet starts having trouble remembering his past, and never notices that he is the only one who can see Emmit, who constantly reassures him that everything is okay, it doesn't matter what happened back then because they are here with him. He doesn't believe Emmit would ever lie to him why would they? That's their brother. They would never hurt him.

L for Lavender from The Hallowed!

A Possession/Shifting/Shadows Monster, infected by sentient shadows that can turn her into a creature if not kept in check. The first place it appears when she becomes nervous is her face and neck, which has prompted her to wear a face mask every time she leaves the house. The shadows make her sick, and she doesn't have a lot of stamina to fight it back with.

She spends a long time being scared of it, trying to keep it contained to keep it at bay. She's terrified of hurting others, most of all her family. Eventually she finds a way to embrace it. It doesn't go away, it still negatively affects her, she still has to try to prevent it spreading when she can, but she accepts that there is nothing she can do to go back to how she was before. Being more at peace with it makes it easier to handle, and she eventually forms a companionship with the creature of shadows that now shares her life.

Y has to be Yuki from Ari&Caden, my only Y-name guy!

He's a superhero, working with his two friends Raven and Harvey. He has ice powers, and often uses them to do reckless silly things just to see if he can make them do something interesting. He's very childish, very optimistic, and very skilled with his abilities when he puts his mind to it <3

🍂- What music does this oc like?

Emmit: anything loud and upbeat!!! Anything with funky sounding instruments!!! Anything that gets them MOVING!!!

After the whole Echo Monster thing, getting that excited about music comes with the risk of Ismet finding out, so he doesn't really keep up with music a lot during those years. That just means they have a lot to catch up on when they can!

Ismet: anything that works as efficient background noise for focusing on something else, more often than not instrumentals! He really likes violin :) he'd probably have a classic music record collection and then sit there quietly listening to the entire thing while doing nothing else and then it ends and he goes "that was lovely :)" and Emmit doesn't understand how he can do that at All

There Was A Point Where I Drew Nothing But Them For Weeks At A Time

They compliment each other very well! Their designs are simple to draw but very visually pleasing, they fit together, once Emmit can possess Ismet it gets VERY fun to draw their expressions, ovhfhfhHFHGHGHGG. also one of the only times I've ever felt the desire to dress up my guys like dolls which has happened a grand total of two (2) times

🌸- What's this oc's favorite and least favorite color?

Emmit: Favorite - anything Ismet likes :) seeing their brother be happy is better than any colors

Least favorite - pink.

Ismet: Favorite - yellow! A soft dandelion yellow :) it's very pleasant and a calming color <3

Least Favorite - it used to be any dark muddy colors, probably a navy blue. For some reason he's recently taken a disliking to pink which is too bad, it's a nice color :(

🌈- What does this oc like and dislike about themselves?

Emmit: Likes - They like a lot of things about themself! They're determined, they're funny, they're nice, they like how they dress, they like to think people would enjoy their company if anyone knew they existed.

Dislikes - they weren't fast enough they weren't strong enough they weren't able to hold on they weren't able to protect him they weren't able to do ANYTHING-

Ismet: Likes - Oh he hates to brag, but he's very happy with who he is! He's found his own style, has his own home, and is always finding new things to enjoy about every new day :)
