Today's polish is a really unusual combination. The maker describes it as a violet metallic duochrome. I've had it in my collection for 5+ years. 👀😂🤦♀️ Every time I'd pick it up to put on my nails I'd think "that's interesting..." and then put it back in my untrieds. 😂 Now that it's on my nails, I find I really like it. The purple is very dusty and the shimmer shifts from an olive green to a bright magenta. I feel like the green didn't show up in the pictures like it did IRL, so I included a bottle shot where the green is more obvious. I would definitely wear this again especially this time of year. If Fitch was in HH, what would you expect from him and which place do you think he would be? Heaven or Hell?
And why?
I like the idea of Fitch believing he deserved to go to heaven but was sent to hell because of a sin he felt he was "forced" to commit.
After learning the details of Alastor's death, I began to headcanon Fitch being the hunter who had killed him. This ended up being Fitch's first righteous kill, even if it was initially an accident. And despite it being righteous, killing someone is still, in fact, a sin. Which ended up being what sent him to Hell.
However, Hazbin is subtly seeming to imply that one goes to heaven or hell depending on where the person themselves believes they deserve to go. In which case, Fitch believing he deserves to go to heaven would get him there anyway. So I'm playing with the idea of him having been so conflicted with the fact he had killed someone despite it being righteous, that he wanted to believe he deserved to go to heaven, but deep down knew he was going to hell, which is what landed him there.
After having witnessed the Exterminations, he believed perhaps he could earn his way to heaven by slaying demons like the Exorcists, which is where Adina comes in.
Adina believed in the Exterminations being the right way to deal with demons. Adina doesn't believe in redemption being the answer, she believes the damned should remain that way, damned. And so now with Heaven having called the Exterminations off, Adina came to Fitch and encouraged him to continue slaying demons, promising him entry to heaven when she felt he deserved it.
