The Call to repent before the Punishment comes قُلْ يَٰعِبَادِىَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا۟ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمْ لَا تَقْنَطُوا۟ مِن رَّحْمَةِ ٱللَّهِ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ جَمِيعًا ۚ إِنَّهُۥ هُوَ ٱلْغَفُورُ ٱلرَّحِيمُ Say: "O 'Ibadi (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah, indeed Allah forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful. Surah 39: Az-Zumar (The troops): v.53 This Ayah is a call to all sinners, be they disbelievers or others, to repent and turn to Allah. This Ayah tells us that Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, will forgive all the sins of those who repent to Him and turn back to Him, no matter what or how many his sins are, even if they are like the foam of the sea. This cannot be interpreted as meaning that sins will be forgiven without repentance, because Shirk can only be forgiven for the one who repents from it. Quran Verse يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلرَّسُولُ بَلِّغْ مَآ أُنزِلَ إِلَيْكَ مِن رَّبِّكَ ۖ وَإِن لَّمْ تَفْعَلْ فَمَا بَلَّغْتَ رِسَالَتَهُۥ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْصِمُكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى ٱلْقَوْمَ ٱلْكَٰفِرِينَ O Messenger! Proclaim which has been sent down to you from your Lord. And if you do not, then you have not conveyed His Message. Allah will protect you from mankind. Verily, Allah guides not the people who disbelieve. (5.67) وَٱللَّهُ يَعۡصِمُكَ مِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ (And Allah will protect you from the people) means, you convey My Message and I will protect, aid and support you over your enemies and will grant you victory over them. Therefore, do not have any fear or sadness, for none of them will be able to touch you with harm.  Surah 5: Al-Ma'idah: v.67 Before the ayah, Messenger ﷺ was being guarded. Imam Ahmad recorded that one night when the Prophet was being vigilant*, he said he wished that some of his pious companions guard him, to which Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas attended and guarded the Prophet the entire night while the prophet slept. But after this ayah was revealed, he asked them to go, for Allah would protect him. Quranic verse فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Then which of the blessings of your Lord will you both deny Surah Rahman 55: v. 13 meaning, "O mankind and Jinn,which of the favors that Allah has given to you do you deny'' Mujahid and others said this, and it is apparent when one reads what comes after it. Meaning the favors that are obvious to you while you are surrounded by them, you cannot deny or reject them. So we say, just as the believers among the Jinns said, "O Allah! None of Your favors do we deny. All praise is due toYou.'' Ibn `Abbas used to say, "Nay, our Lord! '' meaning, "None of Your favors do we deny.'' Sunnah series Anas reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) used to breathe three times in the course of a drink (i. e. he drank in three gulps). Sahih Muslim 2028, Riyad-us-Saliheen 757 Commentary: “Water should be drunk in three breaths, that is one should breathe three times outside the drinking vessel one is drinking from.
