So I'm getting that Isam is Aretas's... man servant? personal aide? steward? bodyguard? and apparently not afraid of giving some colorful commentary when they want. Are we allowed to learn some more facts about them or would that be spoilers? Because I find him hilarious, but the position of always being at the beck and call of some spoiled brat (however nice they can be) is not exactly enviable and I can see MC feeling for them. And knowing to bribe them or maybe switch in for some more private duties to give them free time, while simutaneously being able to spend time with Aretas. (which in this case is the RO, obviously) Does Isam have a family of his own? Is he a noble and kinda the equivalent to a ladies maid, or a commoner servant that proofed to just be especially astute? A milk brother maybe? (like the nurse maid's child he would have shared feedings with) How well do they know each other and ....just some more insight into the character maybe, because he's interesting! (and in the asks at least, doesn't seem to mind MC and Aretas being fools in love)
Isam is a fun character because he really is some of everything you describe! He's a mystery to the court, isn't seen anywhere outside the palace, and doesn't speak to the nobles in his own words, only conveying the wishes of the king and queen.
You can probably tell from the snippets posted on here, but Isam isn't an aloof, shadowy figure to Aretas.
I'm including some fun Isam facts, so if you want to be more surprised about him, then don't read below.
He and Aretas were born a year apart. With his mother being Lalia, he is both the blood cousin and milk brother of Aretas.
We joke about how Rand is surrounded by Evil Men who want him carnally, but can we talk about how Perrin is just a MAGNET for men with simmering homoerotic attachment to him? Aram, Gaul, Slayer, Bornhold, Byar- a SHOCKING number of men either want to devote their lives to serving Perrin or tearing him down completely.
Hell, even his battlefield banter with Galad reads a little bit like flirting.

If your religion is openly harming people for have done something bad don't ignore it, don't deny it's happening and don't fucking act like your religion is perfect, all loving, harmless and beautiful because it's fucking not.
I'm sure there are parts that are beautiful and have a message of love somewhere in there but pretending your religion is blameless in all the bad things that have happened because of your religion and in the name of your god is idiotic.
No religion is all loving, harmless or all perfect so stop saying yours is.

Bugün TR'deki geleneksel din anlayışına ters konuşan yahut ters konuştuğu zannedilen herkese direkt Selefi/Vehhabi etiketi vuruluyor. Bu konuşulan konulardan birisi de isim-sıfatlar meselesi.
Toplumda sadece Allah'ın nerede olduğu ile alakalı olarak dillendirilse de, hakikatte ilim, kudret, işitme, görme, yed (el), vech (yüz), ru'yetullah (Allah'ın cennetten görülmesi) gibi konular yüzyıllardır tartışılmaktadır.
Yine toplumda diğer konularda pek problem olmasa da, özellikle mevzu Allah'ın nerede olduğu ile alakalı sık sık tartışılmakta. İnsanlar arasında yaygın 2 görüş mevcut;
1- Allah mekandan münezzehtir.
2- Allah her yerdedir.
Bu iki görüş birbirine zıt gibi dursa da, bugün kendilerini ehli sünnet diye isimlendiren ancak hakikatte ehli sünnetle alakası olmayan bazı isimler ve cemaatler bu iki görüşü de sahiplenmekteler. Birde az biraz medrese de okumuşları bu görüşlere gelen itirazlara yönelik ek olarak istiva (bk Ta-Ha 5.ayet) kelimesinin mecaz olarak kullanılıp, asıl mananın "istila" olduğunu söylemekteler.
Ancak problem şu ki bu görüşlerin hiçbirisi ehli sünnetten çıkmamıştır. Tamamı Mutezile mezhebinden çıkmadır.
Daha sonra ehli sünnetin içinden kimileri de, gerek Kelam usulünü doğru bulduklarından gerekse de İslam'ın yayılıp farklı milletlerden insanların Müslüman olmasıyla beraber Arapçayı ve Arap kültürünü bilmediklerinden dolayı bu ayetleri anlamakta fitneye düşmelerini bir zaruret görerek te'vile (yorum) yönelme ihtiyacı hissetmeleriyle Mutezile'nin isim-sıfatlar konusundaki görüşleri Ehli Sünnet'in görüşü diye anılır olmuştur.
Kitap bu konunun nasıl ortaya çıktığı ve geliştiğini araştırıp, bu görüşlerin aslında Mutezile'ye ait olduğunu onların kaynaklarından verdiği gibi, ehli sünnetin başlangıcının bu isim-sıfatlar meselesinde nasıl itikad ettiğini de yine kaynaklarıyla ispatlamaktadır.
Burada mesele bu konunun tekrar tartışılması değil, kendilerini ehli sünnete nispet etmekle beraber kelam usulünü, akaid oluşturmada elzem ve tek hak görüp, ehli sünnetin başlangıcına tabi olanları ise Müşebbihe/Mücessime (Allah'ı mahlukata benzeten, cisim isnad edenler) diye tekfir edenlerin yanlışını ortaya koymak. Ehli Sünnetin hakikatini ispatlamaktır.
