I’ve always taken an active effort to not whitewash textures even back in andromeda by using the colour picker tool and working off a palette from the original texture so for people to go wild over a screenshot with very bright lighting and ignore my other pictures with the exact same texture and expect me, an amateur modder, to fulfill their hopes and dreams for a character is really ???? I absolutely apologise to anyone who saw that screenshot and immediately thought I whitewashed Ashley as I never would. I would like to upload comparison screens of the textures later when I get home from work as I always work off the base textures. I don’t want to be complicit in whitewashing so I guess I’ll have to look into how to change body textures or the colour values so I can make her skin darker. I hope you all continue to interact with me and enjoy my blog and let me know if you have any valid criticism

A lot of you guys think you can say anything about the cast, make as many assumptions about intention as you want, because somewhere in your point you added “but I still love/respect the cast.”

Then get upset when other people disagree with you and/or the way you present that point, accusing the fandom of not wanting to engage critically. Just because you’re critical, just because you tack on your respect/love, does not mean you are immune to criticism, nor that you are automatically fair or right because you present yourself as critical
