I adore the IronHusbands W/ Peter troupe so much. It just honestly makes me happy to see it.

Like Tony is Overprotective yet still the dumb fun parent. Tony showing Peter how to invent certain things and constantly updating his suit. Tony letting Peter be an Avenger as long as he's always with an adult. Tony worrying about Peter when he goes on Patrol alone. Tony doing the most for Rhodey and Peter's birthdays. Tony stopping all his work on a Project when Rhodey calls/comes home

Then you have Rhodey who is the smart laid back one. Rhodey definitely always finds a way to be Physically or Emotionally available when Tony or Peter needs him. Rhodey reminding Tony to let Peter grow in his way. Rhodey driving Peter to school after Morning patrol just to spend time with him. Rhodey having a sleep time protocol when Tony hasn't slept in days.

Lastly Peter is just Peter. Peter constantly forgetting he can call Tony and Rhodey dad.(He still calls them Mr.Stark/Rhodes on impulse). Peter 'Waking up late' just so he can hang out with one of his Dads. Rhodey and Peter bonding over anything small. Rhodey and Peter trying to convince Tony to let the family have a pet dog. Peter and Tony trying to convince Rhodey to take a vacation.

yayyy! i’m delighted to hear that. it’s something i felt i lacked, particularly early on in my undergrad years, because everyone at uni talked about it in a super academic way and then on the internet people just talked about it inaccurately and i was like “surely there’s gotta be something between ‘academic journal’ and ‘complete nonsense’, right?”

and there was, but not a lot, and it took me a while to find it, so now i yell about irish lit on the internet and have managed to accumulate a group of friends who do so as well. it’s been a super positive experience for me because uni was pretty stressful so it means i have associations with medieval irish lit that aren’t just “that time i had a mental breakdown while writing an essay on [x] text”, and is probably the main reason i’ve considered staying in academia and doing a master’s, because i have those positive associations

also i think we need more memes in this field as a whole

but! i am not alone in this! (even if i am abnormally prolific lmao)

@ad-ciu doesn’t post frequently, but talks about the ‘real’ story behind some of the supernatural beasties you get in roleplaying games

@asnacsociety share a wide range of medieval content, some of it irish

@finnlongman has extremely similar research interests to me but talks about them with capital letters and less swearing, plus makes youtube videos about medieval irish lit

@switchoffthestars posts about celtic stuff, more linguisticsy than me (menna helps me with language stuff, it’s very useful)

my friend @cicelythereaper is particularly into medieval welsh stuff

@mediaeval-muse talks a lot about medieval history and lit, often giving book recs and similar

and... probably a number of other people who i have forgotten, which will be embarrassing when they read this, but yeah
