Chief Mod Edgeworth: Oh wow, I donât know how I missed this one. This was at the bottom of the inbox.
At the moment of sending this, they had a huge number of letters pouring in but that has since decreased to 2-3. Iâd say the maximum theyâve sent in a day is 5. Lately, Iâve hardly had any letters from them Iâve had to delete. No one seems to have an issue with Dawsongfg anymore.Â
I did say around the point this letter was supposedly sent that their letters have decreased. The reason you didnât see that around October and November was because I was answering letters from July and August. This is exactly what I meant when I said, âyou are not seeing it at the moment.â Now, you are seeing it, because several months have passed.Â
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Iâm lost, because I have no idea what youâre talking about. This is a blog that answers letters. Itâs not a fan fiction or roleplay site.
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Thanks. Fixed it.
Chief Mod Edgeworth: I know Iâm hijacking a character letter, but thatâs because this one was fixed before I saw your letter. I thought Edgeworth was getting slapped when he was being told to slap instead of kill. Sorry about that.
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Thatâs fine. Weâre just trying to avoid another incident like last year. As for Apollo having a cat, (itâs two cats actually)Â itâs like Edgeworth having a dog named Pess. It is mentioned, but we never see the cat in general.
Chief Mod Edgeworth: It would depend on the video and if it could be taken as something that happens to real life celebrities or YouTubers. In the case of reviews, most of them can be done on people in real life based on their performance in their careers or content. However, many game reviews of characters are criticized for how theyâre animated, written and executed as fictional characters. Those cannot be translated to be reviews of real life people.Â
In this case, it seems like the video has people talking about characters they consider hot. This kind of review is done with real life people. Just give us the time stamp to the video talking about Godot, and you can have him or someone else respond to it without breaking the fourth wall.
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Thank you for the tip, but I would rather stick to universally known holidays. Believe it or not, I did have a discussion with Mod Justice when he wanted to add Pi Day. I donât think we should add holidays that people only celebrate one year, then forget the next.Â
I say we keep it simple and celebrate holidays that are universally celebrated by the country or the world. Even the two extra holidays I added for TGAAC are celebrated and well known in those countries.
Mod Justice: Admittedly, I was a bit disappointed about these holidays not being shown, but I didnât really mind it. Itâs kind of like being at a store and your favorite brand of a certain item is out of stock: âAw, theyâre out of the [insert brand name here] brand of [insert related item here]... Oh well, Iâll be fine with [insert alternate brand here].â

Chief Mod Edgeworth: Ah! Thanks for this. In truth, I never really got that big into Pokemon. Not the anime anyways. I played Soulsilver and that was it.
Modshoe: The Pokerap! Iâm actually a huge fan of Pokemon, so this was nice to hear again :D.
Chief Mod Edgeworth: No worries, I didnât take it as you being aggressive or a personal attack. Youâre also not the only one that gets misgendered. Even in real life, I once got misgendered when I was in 4th grade and Iâm not even trans or non-binary. It happens to the best of us and Iâd be lying if I said I never did the same in my life.
I find laughter to be the best medicine personally.
Chief Mod Edgeworth: Thank you. It is a bit tricky to know how to link previous sites. Iâd read this, if you wish to know different ways of doing it that will go through. Iâve updated this, so people new here will know how to write letters. I recommend everyone else to also read it if theyâre having issues with the letters with HTML, links and other things not showing.
Chief Mod Edgeworth: So, you think that because we answered these letters with having characters not fall for these letters because they know said character long enough to tell theyâre fake, we never have letters where the characters do fall for it? Not here, here, here, here, here or even here?Â
Not saying youâre trying to be rude, but this isnât a blog meant to have characters act stupid when someone they know very well acts strange. The Judge didnât fall for it, because it read âOverly dramatic Phoenix Wrightâ and Phoenix doesnât sound like that. Apollo didnât fall for it either, because he knows Kristoph isnât a dramatic person. He was named âthe Coolest Defense Attorney in the Westâ for crying out loud!Â
If these letters feel lackluster, then I donât know what to tell you. Itâs just as lackluster when characters read the letters and somehow do not see that these characters theyâve known for years are not acting like themselves. Is it really that difficult to still write meme letters with the characters somewhat acting in character? At the very least, if you have to risk making them OOC, make sure that the OOC canon character letters are sent to characters that donât know them. Maybe have Phoenix act OOC as college Feenie or have those letters from Kristoph be given to Winston Payne.Â
